Ok, fair enough. Just thought I'd check.
All in all, it's probably a good thing animals can't talk. Things would get more complicated than ever.

Just wanted to expand a bit on the hunting humans thing. In the real world, I don't blame animals for hunting and eating people. From their perspective, we're nothing special. We just taste good.
So I guess ultimately, my question would not be whether the intelligence of the hunted creates a moral or ethical conundrum, but whether the intelligence of the hunter does. And we can debate that without talking animals.

Well, lets see... we've got human beings who consider other human beings to be animals despite the fact that they can clearly talk (and other things we take as signs of sapience), so I guess its a fair question. I just think its also a question without easy answers.

Those are people I'd like to call, "Defining things correctly, but using terms in a way they were never meant to be used."
Hey, that's what philosophy(and in many ways, science) is for. Asking the hard questions. Even if we don't find the answer, the question will often say quite a bit.
As for your question....I have no idea. Never thought about it. I suppose it MIGHT, but it doesn't seem to.

Jesus Christ, you don't eat fully sentient creatures people, this is pretty basic.

Things I've learned this weekend:
#1: My ability to not have a hangover can only be described as supernatural #2: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is amazing.

No, I was drunk last night and at the park today.
And, really, it was amazing. I don't even like Harry Potter and I loved it.

Those things never have the attractions I want. Like, y'know... Kick Harry In The Crotch strength testers, and "Hermione's First Lesbian Experience" rides...

I think you're confusing "hater" with "really big smartass." The Wizarding World of Harry Potter might rock, for all I'll ever know (I can pretty much guarantee I'll never see it) I just enjoy cynicism.
