Ive finally pulled myself together and make some rules for a Raging character/monster/machine/Thing... Im not sure about how balanced it is or if its any good at all, but thats one of the reasons i posted it here
But as of now, the only thing im unsure of is the cost... Its a powerful Modifier (however, the stones aren't free) but the disadvantage I've given it might balance that (I've thought about making it into a Option instead though)... Any suggestions and/or comments are welcome...
RAGE
Cost Level = Modifier Number + 1 (see below)
DESCRIPTION
Your character has a temper, and may the Gods protect those who make him mad... This modifier increases the strength of the character over time, as long as they are being enraged, which generally speaking is when the character is in combat, but there are other situations where he might become angry.
COMMENTS
If you like to give your character a boost to his strength this is the power... However, watch it, people tend to see you as a threat when you are able to tear a whole city apart.
GROWTH:
Every Panel +1
Every Second Panel +0
Every Third Panel -1
Every Fourth Panel -2
OPTIONS
• Quick Temper (+1 to Cost Level per extra Strength): Instead of a single point of Strength per x panel, the character gains and additional point of Strength... This can be increased by taking this option multiple times
• Hot Head (-1 to Cost Level): For every point of increased Strength, all Shifted defense suffers a negative -1 Modifier. Reflexive Dodge and Toughness isen't affect by this, only shifted defense.
• Berserker (-2 to Cost Level): The character cannot defend himself while enraged.
Rules for Modifier Box
• Increase Strength up to Modifier Number when fighting or when the character becomes angry
• Strength is increased every X Panel
• All the stored extra Strength disappears when the character becomes calm, which might require some work.
EXAMPLE
Gigan has a Strength of 7 and a Rage Modifier of 5, which increase every second panel and he has the Hot Head option (Modifier Number 5 which is equal with a Cost Level 4 = 2w).
He enters combat with a villain which seems to take some time... After a panel without hitting his opponent, Gigan's Strength increase to 8 (substracting 1 from all shifted defense). So he can't defend himself well because he becomes more careless... His Strength will later increase to 9, and he will now have a -2 to his shifted defense
