Well I was going to save colossal for zords like Serpentera, which can make Megazords look like Action figures by comparison. I thought Anything larger than Large was bigger than an Aston Martin. Nope; an Aston Martin is listed as being Huge instead of Large. That said, you could probably just make a new scale for Zords; it's not like Zords and cars are going to ever deal with each other (unless we're talking Power Rangers Turbo, that is).

I'd say it's only a complication once at character creation and from then on it's easy going. But hey, it's your game.

Yeah, I'd love to play as a power ranger, just let me know when you're starting up! So many of my games are ones I'd love to play, it's sad. I haven't gotten into DC Adventures, I'd imagine that conversion could be interesting, but the system's strengths should shine once you get things converted right. I'm obviously using MURPG for familiarity's sake. At the risk of spoilers for my players: I'm using PA rules because I like the idea of players combining their character's martial arts with the powers. Billy can fight morphed, but Jason kicks booty. Zords I'm also doing powered armor, which technically makes it powered armor-within-powered armor, not sure how to handle that exactly yet. I should have something worked out by then though. The Megazord I'm divided between a "voting" system (the megazord has reserves of 50 and a regen of 20/panel, each player has a pool of 10 and a regen of 4 to spend on any of the Megazord's actions) and a "specialization" system (Player A has the combat actions, Player B has the movement actions, etc) I hope to try both, and explain the differences in the storyline. I'll let you know how it goes.

(I can't believe I am discussing about Power Rangers...)
Yes, I think Zords would be like vehicles but combined with power armor. The Ranger in question should have Zord operation or something like that and the combined Megazord needs 5-6 pilots to operate properly. My 2 cents basically.
D20 Modern? I never thought it would be popular (Popular = talked about in this board). It would be cool to play D20 Moder but in a pulp-noir setting with Nazis, magic, demons and the like, something like Hellboy.

You'll be the first I tell Hypester, as soon as I'm ready to start recruiting (Still got a few things to work on). If I go with DC Adventures I will try to help everyone with learning the system (I say try because I'm not that great at teaching games). It's not that much different from D&D or D20 Modern, just some minor tweaks, and you use points to build your character instead of rolling stats. Also Complications (It's version of Challenges) don't give you a discount on points. Instead it grants you a Hero point any time it comes into play, which you can spend to do certain things (Edit a scene, recover from an effect, etc.).
For some reason I see Ironman when I think of powered armor, something you have to store in like a brief case, or carry with you, not use a morpher to get access to, that's the main reason I want to use Transform self. I guess it's just me, anyway I look forward to seeing how your method of handling zords and Megazord works out Hypester.

Man, I love d20 Modern. I don't play it as much as I'd like to, but I really just love how the whole game is set up. I'm sure there are all kinds of issues that I don't notice because I'm not terribly seasoned in different RP systems, but I just think it's a really fun system that's pretty adaptable.

It *is* weird to think of the rangers as having powered armor, especially when you look at characters like Turbo's Justin. He's obviously transforming. The only way it worked in my head was if I imagined the suit as a coating of solidified energy from the 'morphing grid' which was stored in the morpher. Or something. It is weird, but it's a leap that may make things easier. Transform Self is still a worthy option. It highlights how the Rangers change as people when they morph, they know things they didn't know before. They are more confident, more apt to swing their arms around (lol). I can get my hands on DC Adventures in a pinch, comicfan, so don't worry about lil old me.

Yeah Justin does look like he's transforming, which kinda puzzled me as he grew to a teenager when he morphed, but when he took off the helmet at the command center he was back to being a kid. Anyway, I'm still working the details out, I'll probably go with DC Adventures (As I've been dying to use that system for about a year). So far into the game I've decided the game takes place outside Power Rangers canon, I just like setting things in my own universe, makes me feel less worried about not keeping up-to-date with a series. I'm working on the main villain now.

My vote is on DC Adventures (I have the book too, I so want to get my hands on M&M Third Edition - I felt like the only drawback to the DC book was its limits in power choices).
The Zords would actually be easy to convert. Do not make them have anything to do with the Rangers stats. Make them their own character, assign a slightly higher power level and give each zord x amount of levels in size increase or whatever the power is called and give them their own stats and all of that jazz. The Megazord will be the same principle but just way more beefed up.

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to run it for a while. I'm heading down to Louisiana for a while, and don't know if I'll have internet there. If I do, I'll start it up once I'm there, but if not it'll have to wait a while. Don't worry I'm keeping track of who's interested until May 9, so Shenron, Hypester you'll be the first I inform when I'm ready to start the campaign.

Hey I'm back from my vacation. It was fun, except for a few minor incidents. Anywho good news and bad news. The Good news: I am going to run the Power Rangers RPG soon, and I will be using D20 Modern. The Bad news: It's going to be a little longer than I planned before I start it. I had everything worked out on my computer for the Power Rangers RPG (House Rules, stats for Zords, a few images of the Rangers, and at least a vague idea of a storyline). Unfortunately a cat decided to use my thumbdrive, which had everything saved on it, as a pillow while it was plugged into my lap top. Long story short something inside the thumbdrive broke, and I lost everything. I apologize if this inconveniences any prospective players. I'm working on getting some of the stuff back, but it's just going to be a while.

I might actually go with Risus, seeing as the team-up rules can be used for the Megazord, and the system makes things a lot easier...plus it's free so no one has an excuse for not getting it.

Yep. My thoughts exactly. It is a pretty bada$$ system in my personal opinion.
I have bought the companion and and I a member of the International Order of Risus
