I took a look in the Batman manual you are reading out of and I think you should be at 39 - Ultimate Choices right now and I think you are saying you have chosen plan "N". Since I chose plan "K" that would now lead you to #37 and I go to my #40.
I'm now ready to confer with you.
"Superman, did a strange presence just enter your mind?"

Superman frowned. "Yes. A voice told me I needed to disconnect Gothams' Terminal first from the Fusion device."
Punching a fist into his other palm, he snarled "We're being played by someone Batman. Luthor would be my prime suspect, except he has done as much to steer me in this direction as anyone. If it were his scheme he's doing his best that I foil it, which makes no sense. He works by misdirection, delighting in having me run around, and every paper trail points to him being an innocent victim of crime, leaving a scattered mess of shattered lives in his wake. This time? Something different is going on. Whoever is behind this intended you and I to be at crossed purposes, I believe. It's true that our methods differ wildly, and I can't say I agree that your approach is the best one, but I recall our first encounter and have had no reason yet to distrust you."
"So what is our next move? If we disconnect the incorrect cable, will one of our cities suffer, or both?"

"There may be a being with strong mental powers at play. Joker claimed to have no recollection of his escape from Arkum Asylum. The escape included an explosive that no guard seemed to hear. I also had a frightened voice in my mind tell me to disconnect Metropolis first. Perhaps Luthor is also being mentally manipulated."
"Since we can't leave the bomb hooked up indefinitely, perhaps the solution is to disconnect both cities' power supplies simultaneously."
If Superman agrees to simultaneously disconnect the harbor power supplies, I will go to #36.

OOC Agree to simultaneously disconnect. After reading #34, I now have to proceed to ENDGAME
Bit of an anti climax really.

ENDGAME
I agree with your anti-climactic analysis. Why would Brainiac bother to set a timer on the cold fusion device anyway? And it didn't explain why the armored suits fighting superman were so powerful either.
So, where do we go from here?
I have Lines of Death. Do you want to play that Green Arrow/Black Canary Match-Play Adventure in a new thread?

OOC I'll finish up reading on Endgame later today (loads to do, expect the wife will bend my ear for being sat at computer) and take a look. If you like I don't mind GMing you through an adventure or a stand alone, even with a home brew. You run so many games on this site I figure it's about time someone gave something back to you

Thank you. If you are looking to GM something, I'm up for it. IT would also help me if you just joined the following game as a player. murpg.proboards.com/board/538/unknown-violenceThis is a game in the DC Universe using the DC Adventures / Mutants and Masterminds rules. Currently, we just have 2 players and I'd love to have you join as a third. My character, The Tortoise, is a tech nerd in a battlesuit. The other character is a time wizard named Epoch. Tortoise is a new member of the Justice League and Epoch is under review for membership. We are trying to stop Solomon Grundy right now and having a third hero show up to help us will be much appreciated.

My biggest problem with joining in that game is character creation. I hit a wall where Mutants and Masterminds is concerned. I think it's the whole balancing tradeoffs, effects based powers with this and that advantage, these flaws and having a text wall of skills and advantages. When I look at a character sheet, my eyes glaze over...
I do have a concept, a character I ran about 10-15 years ago or so on Yahoo Groups called the Mighty Flea (might have run him on here in an earlier incarnation of my MURPG gaming, probably as T0mahawk or Meetgrinder).
Strong (as in like a Flea), Jumping, Really Agile/hard to hit, some measure of regeneration, a 'flea bite' that debilitates and slows down a foe, round after round (there is an effect for that but can't remember what it is). A few skills, advantages and so on.
What's worse is that I managed to grind through the morass of rules that is Hero 5th Edition to come up with the character, and that makes M&M look like a primary school reading book :S
I put it down to age. The older I get, the harder I find it to get my head round rules. Hence it's easy to play DC and MURPG and Marvel cause I GM'd them for years, but Hero or M&M melt my brain. I will take a look at the book (again. Last time I spent a week trying to get my head round it) and come up with a more detailed concept. I'd appreciate suggestions and hints. Chances are I will start with an archetype brick and work from there.

I hear you. I use a spreadsheet to help me with the rules. It calculates stats to make things manageable. I've attached my recent character sheet to this message. It's a qpw file for Quatro Pro Worksheet. Hopefully, whatever spreadsheet program you use can read it. Attachments:TortoisePL11.qpw (790.66 KB)
