Herobase Monitor Room

The Thing had a terrible night's sleep thanks to last night's tempest. Then Mr. Fantastic woke him bright and early for his shift on monitor duty. Multiple screens permit the surveillance of three areas at once, with further scanning of ten other areas at one time.

Ben hadn't even had a chance to see if there were any bagels on this alien planet, when he spots something in the sky over the twisted plains about 250 miles away. Zooming in, he confirms it is a giant number 4 formed out of fire.


Twisted Plains

The Human Torch sees Spider-Man retreat from the cloud surrounding Ultron and toward Hawkeye. This is his chance to explode into a fiery nova blast near Ultron.

Due to the smoke, neither Spider-Man, Hawkeye or Professor X can yet see if the blast stopped Ultron.

Ben knew that while Johnny was a showoff most times, he wouldn't put a call in the sky like that if he weren't in trouble. Ben hit the big red button to his left, signalling the alarm to echo throughout the base. It looked like some action was about to go down, which was fine with Ben.. he didn't like sitting in front of monitors anyways, better to go clobber something....

Peter couldn't help but be frightened for his friend. Being a super hero didn't mean being immortal. Despite everything, he did his best to get to Johnny and get him away from the field.

Peter will do whatever gets him to Johnny fastest, including using webbing if need be. The plan is to get to Johnny, pick him up (if possible without burning himself), and get him away from here.

Cause I am so in the hell not taking a rocky flavored knuckled sandwich from Ben" Hawkeye realizing now that spider-man is going t do what he has to do to retrieve Johnny. He is gonna have to take aim in case Ultron is in the mood to squish them both.

Well taking AIM and preparing a counter attack in case Ultron wants to be a giant animantium duche and attacks them. Also is there a bonus mod for taking a turn to aim? Cause I am not 100% sure how that would work in game. Please Someone anwser that before I make another roll. Thank yous.

Herobase

The Thing alerts Captain America, Mister Fantastic, Wasp and Captain Marvel of the Human Torch's blazing FF signal. Leaving behind the X-Men to protect the alien refugees, the rest of the team mobilizes toward the Twisted Plains...with one exception. Thor is missing!

Twisted Plains

Spider-Man enters the smoldering crater where the Human Torch went supernova, while Hawkeye seeks Ultron to take aim with his bow.

Aiming: If a character has a chance to aim his weapon or power at a stationary target for one round, he gains a +1 CS to hit (but not to damage).

Ultron lies prone near the tired and wasted Johnny Storm. The Human Torch couldn't melt the robot's adamantium hide, but something non-adamantium inside must have overheated.

Spider-Man carefully lifts Johnny and carries him out of the crater, away from Ultron.

"Spidey,  I'm worried about Johnny's sexuality to. I would be worried that the last blast could have done something to him. Hopefully its a phase and he wakes. Still it is something to worry about, but you have to ask him since he is still trying to kiss you" Hawkeye replied as he looked at spidey for a moment before Keeping that eye on Ultron. (OOC: Done and done. Also I am not sure of everyone's character continuity so sorry If assumed.)

Iron Man flagged down the flying sub, adjusting his speed so he could fly beside it. Using his armor's systems, he radioed through a message in the hopes that the alien craft would be able to receive it.

"The villains launched a dawn ambush, like we expected they might. Spider-Man, Torch and the others slowed down Ultron while I managed to crash the villain's ship a few miles back that way. They've probably managed to dig themselves out of the wreckage by now, but if we hurry, we should still be able to catch them before they can come up with a new battle plan."

Ben said over the radio of the ship as he pressed the ship to max thrust. Being stuck behind screens back at base had him in the mood to pound something. He didn't care what, but someone was going to get a good clobbering for messing with Johnny. That was his job...

I doubt you need concern yourself too much with the human torch... he seems to have believed that spiderman was a very lovely brunet. His mind has survived the trauma relatively unscathed.

Continuity Alert!: This game takes place before Peter Parker married Mary Jane. also, Hawkeye does not know that Peter Parker is Spider-Man. so Please scratch that comment about Hawkeye stating he is speaking to "another" married man.

Iron Man and the Thing approach the villains' crash site from the air and spot several villains heading toward Herobase on the ground. The villains include Doctor Doom, Molecule Man, the Wrecker, Thunderball, Absorbing Man, Doctor Octopus and two women that neither James Rhodes nor Ben Grimm have ever seen before.

Elsewhere, to the delight of Spider-Man, Hawkeye and Professor Charles Xavier, the Human Torch regains consciousness before Ultron so much as stirs.
