Jade looked at the doctor and shook her head, "Despite the case being considered a "cold" case, we're unable to disclose any information about it at this time, once we get some more information and figure out some more about what happened, you'll be sure to hear about it on the news." Her gaze had shifted from Montoya to her partner as he asked about seeing Hernandez's belongings and bringing up how it could "reveal" more than the man himself could. Jade wouldn't have protested the idea if it was not for the smile she saw on his face.. It was a smile she had seen before while working the streets of Gotham.. it was something at an officer had either seen or had heard of while on the job or from others who had helped the caped crusader. "Could you give us a minute, doc? I need to talk to my partner in private" she said, grabbing Cerberus by the arm and taking him a bit away from the Doctor, a few feet away from her and placed herself between the two. "The hell are you doing? The job is to get information from the doctor not scare her with that creepy smile" said Jade as she glared at her partner with daggers.

Cerberus
Dragged off by his partner, he wondered what she wanted. First of all, she somewhat looked pissed, but he had no idea why. Had he done something wrong? On a first job that wasn't a good start. When she mention his smile, he didn't catch it, but his expression suddenly changed.
-Smile?...-
He raised an eyebrow. Apparently not understanding what she meant.
-What's wrong with it? How is it creepy? I'm just...smiling...normally?...-
He said, somewhat offended. But he had to admit it wasn't the first time someone called him creepy. It hadn't happen in a long while tough.
-You look like you've seen a ghost...-

Christopher & Mildred
Compliments and a little charm appear to work wonders.
"Oh, honey you call me Delores, an if'n you like Gotham, well I reckon we gonna be good friends. Most folks just come here all like, oh ah need this or Delores get me that. No one really takes the time to appreciate this city. You wanna know the best conversation I get? It's when that Joker fella comes around, ah mean that boy is looney toons an then some but he knows how to appreciate history."
Delores appears to be leading you down into the basement as she gets into her stride. Most people would look at the index cards first, Delores doesn't even appear to be looking where she is going.
You go down a flight of stairs to a long corridor. Artificial strip lights ping into life as she hits a switch. The smell of fresh paint still fills the air and as you look around the walls appear to be pock marked with damage of varying ages, all filled in and painted over but the signs are still there.
She makes her way to a door and opens it with a set of keys to display racks cylinders, all numbered.
"So, you say you from the 13th? Well, if that's the place you investigatin' you got ALL your work cut out for you. That place seem more creepy shit than a workman at a haunted house. You know that before it was a hospital, it was a church, the Indians used to say it was cursed even before that."
Apparently Delores isn't a fan of political correctness
"So, which plans you want to see first?"
Cerberus & Jade
The doctors eyes go cold and hard as Cerberus makes his request in his own inimitable style.
Jade jumps in but the damage appears to have been done.
"Look officers, I can see you're not clear on what we do here. This is a facility for the treatment of the mentally ill. Anything you do here can have an effect on my patients. We do, of course have the belongings of our patients in storage. If you want access to them you need a court order."
She seems annoyed, the change came on a little more suddenly than normal but in fairness she looks tired and the doctors here aren't required to help the police. They usually do because of batman's work catching insane criminals, but not always. The sudden change in attitude should come as no surprise to Cerberus. Thanks to his Fey heritage passions often run hot around him. Sometimes it's a blessing, more often it's a curse.
"If you want access to my patients, without explaining to me what you are doing and what this is about, you need a court order. It's called accountability, maybe you've heard of that? I came out to see you outside of office hours as a matter of professional curtesy. Now would you like to start explaining or should I go back to my rounds?"

Looking from her partner and towards the Doctor, she looked at her as she began to speak about a court order was needed if they wanted access to anything. "God damn it.." she muttered under her breath as she tried to think of what she could say to the good doctor without coming off as one of her next patients within the halls of the crazy house. "Alright, I understand that what you're doing here is important to the rehabilitation of the people in here and you don't want to jeopardize it.. So I'll lay it out for you then. The people we need to see were former inmates at the 13th precinct and were involved in a particular case that involved them going down into the basement and going crazy. At first we thought they were just simply going crazy but there was something more to that. Looking over the case files and testimonies of the cops who persued the inmates, they were in the company of a strange man. Whoever it is, they're just as disturbed as the Joker if not more. We don't know who this man is but whoever they are, the're back and are causing trouble again. No one knows what happened down there expect the inmates who suffered through it. Whoever this person is they're cruel, they enjoy mentally destroying people, just look at Mr. Hernandez. I'm not trying to bullshit you, I'm telling you what we know and we need your help, some kind of lead is better than nothing to go on and the more time we waste here, the more time that monster has to hurt someone else." Jade's tone was stern and carried the authority that her badge gave her in this situation. "If you need more "accountability" My name is Jade Rodriguez, GCPD badge number 43982. My superiors know about this and if anything happens just give them my number and I'll be held accountable for anything that happens." ------------------------- WS: 4/4

Excitement lights up his eyes as Christopher gives a little happy jump.
I love ghost stories! Can you tell me what the Indians thought this curse was??? Maybe it covers up where they buried treasure... Can we go on a Treasure hunt Detective Buckley?.... Wait it isn't really cursed is it do you have any proof the curse is real?.... That would be bad
And just like that Christopher expression changes to something akin to a puppy believing it is about to be kicked.

"Well Delores, call me Mildred" she said, starting to like the woman despite the rough start. "As tempting a treasure hunt could be, most of those kind of things are buried for a reason" she added to her partner's act. "I'd say that we should go in chronological order, see how the place changed with time" she answered Delores' question. "That would allow us if there are basements that were kept the same, places that were repurposed, strange mismatches in the plans..." Mildred enumerated a few things that could pop to the trained eye and would point to the origin of the weirdness in that dreary place.

Cerberus
That last comment left Cerberus somewhat intrigue, but perhaps it was best if he didn't add more fuel to the fire for now. He wasn't trying to do anything wrong, but it seems he had failed in that regard. So he just looked away, that wasn't exactly a good start it seems.
-I'd...still like to get access to M. Hernandez's belongings...if...at all possible...-
He added slowly, this time, just trying to act normaly, no smile, just a cold look. Hands in his pocket, he sighed, this would prove more difficult then he had imagine. Just getting access here was difficult, just imagining how they would need to push to get trough would prove a bit more annoying.

Christopher & Mildred
"Boy, if you don't believe in curses, all you got a do is say."
Delores seems to believe Christopher's act was done to make fun of her.
"They ain't my thing anyway. You wanna know what the Indians say you best off talkin' to them. Had some old Injun guy come around look in' for ley line or some such hoo ha, so I know they around but don't ask me where cause I ain't your tour guide."
Delores might not know where, but Mildred does. There is a bar in a place where very few normal people would even think to look, hidden away in The Cauldron. Few people know about it, even fewer can actually find it but it is there for those who know where, or more importantly how to look. It is a place where the supernatural denizens of Gotham go to meet and share a drink of... Well whatever.
Mildred has been there and on occasion an old Native American medicine man can be found there. He goes by the name of Walks With Smoke and has always been wary of Mildred, recognising her for what she is. But if anyone would know old native legends he would.
Delores pulls out two large looking tubes and drops them down on the table in the centre of the room.
"There, now that one is for the police station, that one is the hospital. Don't think we got anything for the church as it predates our records so you might find something in the hospital plans."
Cerberus & Jade
Dr Montoya listens as you talk and then nods.
"I'll have Mr Hernandez's effects brought out of storage immediately."
She turns to the receptionist
"Elsa would you call Gordon and arrange that please?"
The receptionist who was clearly listening in nods and picks up a phone.
"Now, as I said, all the patients on the list except Mr Hernandez are basically unresponsive. We've had our best doctors try to get through to them without any success. If you want to see them I'll need to know what you have in mind. Mr Hernandez on the other hand I'm uncertain about."
She seems genuinely torn.
"I want to help you detective I really do but at the moment he is struggling to tell reality from delusion. If he hears you and I can make no guarantee that he will there is no telling how he will react. We have him on some extremely powerful psychotropics and he seems to be reacting to them but any amount of stress could cause him to relapse and if as you say he went through an ordeal that destroyed his mind asking him to remember that could be the equivalent of asking him to relive it. That being said we are not making nearly the progress we should be with him. It's almost as though there is something..."
She pauses clearly wanting to say something that she thinks better of.
"...Something else at work. I know some of my colleagues who would laugh at me for saying that, but quite frankly we are living in an era of aliens and monsters. Superman flies in the skies of Metropolis, Batman guards Gotham, we have a human crocodile locked in our basement and we actually have protocols for testing patients who claim to have extra ordinary abilities, just in case they do. If I wasn't talking to a person who has clearly been cybernetically enhanced I wouldn't even mention it, but there you have it."
She sighs, clearly frustrated.
"I'm not willing to risk his health detective, but if you can give me another option I'd love to hear about it."

Cerberus
Cerberus was glad that she agreed to let them see the belongings. Hopefully he would learn a great deal about that fellow Hernandez, or so he hoped. He thanked the doctor, and after listening to her, he said.
-We do believe that...something else is at work as well, if that can be of any information to you, I'm effraid we can't do much but to see face to face with that man. Once we see his state for ourselves, we can advice what we need to do.-
The young man said, trying to be more charming then earlier. He had no idea how his smile turned creepy, but he would need to watch it from now on. For now, he would wait for the belongings or follow his colleague to the man if they were finally allowed to meet with him.

"I may know a guy in a place" Mildred muttered, ambiguous to say the least. Perhaps they could swing for a drink later, maybe Christopher was too young to know The Cauldron, but he fulfilled the requirements to enter, or so she thought. Finding Walks With Smoke there or getting him to talk without scaring him off, well, that was trouble for later. "Now, lets take a look at the hospital first" she said, her focus on the plans cutting short her verbosity.

She was glad that the Doctor had seen that she wasn't trying to bullshit her and actually trying to get some information on what happened. Sighing in relief as the belongings of Mr. Hernandez would be brought up for them was a weight off her shoulders, it was a backup in case she couldn't penetrate the psyche of Hernandez. But of course, Dr. Montoya was still quite reluctant to allow them access to see him, especially since his psyche was still quite fractured and just the smallest reminder could possibly trigger him to have a relapse and have the work the doctors have done be all in vain. "Alright Doc, you're right, we live in a time where all sorts of people are in this world and I'm one of the ones who can help you in this situation. Despite being a cybernetic enhanced, I can read minds and with that being said, I can find out things that you guys haven't been able to. If you will allow me to see him, I can see whats going on in his head and possibly find something that can help you heal his psyche. All I need is some time to figure out whats repressed in his mind." Jade said this without much of a thought to what the Doctor may think or say, but then again they were on the same side, if the Doctor would think her claims where just stories, Jade thought to give a demonstration. Telepathic link being established between herself and the doctor she whispered within the woman's mind; I want to help him as much as you do. So can we please have a audience with him? ---------------------- WS: 4/4
RS: 8/12

Telepathy: 4 to create mental communications with Dr. Montoya and demonstrate her abilities to the good doctor and maybe prove that she could provide some kind of insight that they were lacking to help Mr. Hernandez.

Of course, I believe in curses.... It's just some times curses are made up to scare people away.... Kinda like on Scooby Doo the bad guys always were in some funny costume scaring people because of some made up curse... I just want to go find the treasure but don't want an Indian curse.... Maybe we should look through this stuff like you said with the hospital there they may have had to cover something up.... Detective Buckley is really smart I bet she could figure all this stuff out...
Starting with the hospital tube he rapidly flips through everything and then works on the police one.
There is so much here.... We will never be able to go through everything.... What do you think Detective think you can find our treasure?

Christopher & Mildred
"Well that ol' Injun man said to me there was some weird ass curse o' madness stuck on that place. Said he'd done what he could to block it up but that you'd need an old one to fix it an' he was lookin' for 'em."
"Now hell if I know what all that meant but I don't reckon it's buried treasure you got there."
You both pour over the maps, hoping to find some clue. The police station seems surprisingly dull. The basement contains purpose built cells, the sub-basement a records room and an old, and now abandoned boiler room.
The hospital provides a little historical background to this, but not much the basement and sub-basement have actually changed very little, structurally speaking from the old hospital. A boiler room and a storage room. The basement was a morgue but was gutted during the fire. There was an entrance from the back of the building to the morgue but you can see from the station plans that not only was the entrance bricked up but it was closed off with reinforced concrete.
There is nothing, or at least nothing obvious, at least at first. Then Mildred spots it, ever so small, no one would even notice it unless they were looking for something. With the floors above you would expect to see reinforced steel struts supporting the roof of the boiler room, but there are also ones supporting the floor.
(As a side note, 'The Cauldron' is an area of Gotham. It's not a nice area. The bar is just known as 'Grandfathers'.)
Cerberus & Jade
Dr Montoya listens to Cerberus, patently unsure what to make of what he said. Then Jade uses her telepathy and her eyes go wide.
"Madre de dios!" She exclaims. "Was that telepathy? How? Was it technological? We heard rumours but..."
She pauses and takes a deep breath staring in wonder, then she seems to pull herself back together. She pauses for a moment, still processing.
"Please forgive me, I can't tell you how exciting it is and I want to know all about your ability but I'm getting ahead of myself. Your ability is remarkable but I still need to know it won't impact on my patients health. I assume you want to look into his memories and find out what happened to him, yes? Can you see a memory without them being aware of it?"
You can sense from your link to her that she has seen similar abilities before though certainly less advanced, you also get the very definite impression that if you say yes you are going to be asked to prove it.

Gee... That is not good you say our station has a madness curse? Maybe we should go find this Indian man and help him find an old one.... I am a happy person I don't wanna be mad all the time.
Christopher has the plans well in head now and can refer back to them whenever he feels necessary as such he does not see a need for continuing to stay there.
I was really nice to meet you, Ms. Delores, I want to thank you for coming out so late... I have an issue it is called photo something... Light bothers me and it was really nice of you to help us out... If you don't like helping us though I understand and will ask Ms. Helen for the stuff we need to not bother you again...
His dumb face looks like some sort of puppy expecting to be kicked. Christopher does like Delores and her way of speaking. Furthermore, she was a wealth of useful information and expedited this investigation giving them clues they otherwise would not have gotten, but he does not want her to shut down on them due to anger it would be best if she willingly agreed to be their night contact.

"This is no use..." Mildred grumbled, frustrated at the plans not revealing any dark truths nor well hidden secrets. She knew that such a thing could happen all too often, in her decades of roaming through the city, there were the times were you could learn the truth behind something unusual, but there were also the times when such revelations were buried under tons of lies. "Under... under..." she mumbled, mental exhaustion making her sound a bit crazed. "There" she pointed to the boiler room. "If there isn't nothing under it, or it shouldn't be, why the steel struts?" she explained her finding, tapping it with a finger. "I don't know what's sealed down there, but it must be more than a madness curse, don't you think?" she ventured, falling back to a chair, resting on it.
Mildred had to make an effort to hide her fangs, as despite the toll all that searching and thinking and chatting had taken on the usually calmer vampire, she was smiling wide. Oh, wasn't all of this fun? A mysterious curse in the heart of a once burned building, a hospital made police precinct, a mysterious Captain that didn't age and a bunch of strange partners... Mildred couldn't remember the last time she had so much fun. "You have been very helpful Delores, perhaps I'll visit here more often. There is a place where we can go to ask further questions about the curse, although we'll see if he wants to talk to me" she said, ready to move on.
