Green Arrow cooperates with Detective Cameron as best he can, albeit with his back to the one way window...
The conversation starts conventionally.
"What were you doing in the area?"
"What did you see?"
And so on. The standard questions are asked, Green Arrow answers truthfully. He notes that the tape recorder Cameron placed on the table wasn't switched on, despite the motion seemingly indicating that it was. Occasionally the Detective slipped sarcasm or irony into the questions. It was clear that as a police officer he didn't approve of Vigilantes, but could respect the need for their actions. Sometimes.
Sometimes he thought they got in the way. Hiding behind masks, protected by District Attorneys and beyond the law sometimes. He was glad he lived and worked in Seattle. For a man like Cameron a place like Gotham was a number of rungs down the ladder into the grime and corruption of a city so thoroughly infiltrated by criminals there seemed little actual point for police officers, save to write up traffic tickets.
After a while Cameron changes the questions somewhat...
"What do you make of that strange little design our boy carved on his victim's back?"
"Why Lewis? Anything you saw give you any ideas about why the killer would pick on a pusher, in particular? Or did this look like just another random murder to you?"
"This guy with the killer, how did he act? Amateurs? Or did he seem to know what he was doing?"
Cameron notes GA's reticence to speak freely with the window behind. "Don't worry. There's only one key for that room and it's in my pocket. What goes on here is between us. Any reason you suspect cops might be involved, or just usual Vigilante Paranoia?" he chuckles.
"That said, the less people know about this the better." he grumbled. "Until we finally get to the bottom of what happened tonight anyone could be a suspect." he adds with an arched eyebrow at the vigilante, though it's with some irony and GA can be reasonably sure he's not a suspect.
OOC Fill in some gaps etc and we'll move to the next block of information. Obviously these adventures are written for face to face interaction and play by post requires a somewhat more back and forth approach than the to and fro of face to face. So to speak.

"I was just on patrol, when I spotted someone on the hotel across the street. Despite what you may think about vigilantes, I do not shoot first and ask questions later. So I was heading over to get a closer look when the stabbing stole my attention. I did see the man drop the bag of drugs before running away. There is a chance the victim was clean and the drug evidence was planted by the killer. After the stabbing, the stranger on the rooftop was missing and I also heard the screech of tires after the assailant ran down an alley. That's why I suspect at least three were working together on this."
"The wound looks too much like a checkbox to me. I worry that this was only one target on the killer's list. Can you see if Lewis has a police record and who may have brought him in and been displeased with him being back out on the streets? The attacker had to have military training in order to kill in that manner. This should help narrow down the search. If this were amateurs, then they'd be here talking to you right now, not me."
Dice Action: Charisma (Persuasion) asking Detective Cameron to look into the victim's history with the police and who might have a grudge against him on the force that also has a military background. srZWbLfF1-101-10 and 1-101-101-101-10 1-101-101-101-101-101-10

OOC The adventure calls for back and forth between the Detective and GA but that Persuasion roll (great rolls by the way, last time I used this dices' board I made Superman look like a street thug) will fill in the blanks as far as I am concerned. Note, had you tried Interrogation that would have failed (regardless of roll). Persuasion? That'll do it.Det. Cameron scowls. He seems to be considering, even while he drags on his cigarette. Finally he stubs the butt out in a loaded ashtray and gives a big sigh/exhale of smoke. "You've been straight up. Story tallies with eyewitnesses. I think I can rule you out of the running as a suspect." he growls. He looks again, then shakes his head before reaching for a folder and opening it up. "Ok. I ain't repeatin' myself. This is what we know. If any of this rings a bell or triggers some new info, be sure to stop me n holler, 'kay?" He read from the file... Green Arrow takes that in. When Cameron finishes he closes the folder and tosses it on the table before turning back to GA and raising a finger in warning! "We may have a reasonable workin' relationship but don't take that as read I want you in my way!" His voice raises - he's clearly angry. With a deep breath he tries to compose himself but isn't terribly convincing. "Listen, I'm still not sure about you. I'm willing to share some information with you because I think you'll share anything you've got back. But don't you get in my way. This is a police matter, and none of your business. You get in the way, and I'll bust you!" He says with a slammed hand on the table and pointed finger at GA. He runs his hand through thinning hair. "You know, or find out ANYTHING else, you come to me first! I know you masked types think you're above the law but its disrespectful to us mere boys in blue when you make us look stupid 'cause you don't follow due process. We still got a job to do and we can't put people away, and KEEP them away, without evidence, a trial... in other words LET ME DO MY JOB!" he snarls. He takes a breath then shakes his head. "Goddamn job." he mutters. "Get Outta here." he growls and pulls the door open. OOC Take a look at the text box and decide on your next action.

Green Arrow leaves and so as not to get in the way, he decides to head over to a warehouse run by the Allied Shipping and Transport Company. He goes incognito in a laborer's dress over his costume. This is ao as not to attract attention while he tries to find out if there is more than just a coincidental connection between this shipping company, drugs and the murder victims. If he learns anything, he'll let Cameron know.
[OOC: Can I assume I have the detective's card or know his number?]
Dice Action: After leaving the precinct, Green Arrow uses Military Science (Camouflage) to conceal his bow and quiver as part of his laborer costume.

OOC END OF PART 2. Quite a short adventure seemingly, as we've jumped from the end of part 2 to part 7 (GA investigates Allied Shipping).
It doesn't specify about going incognito but I'll use that (and the roll) with Detective 6 (granting three extra dice). It still includes the extra rolled 10 so the roll still counts.
Int 6 + 31 (37) vs OV6 + Roll(2d10)+0: 1,5,+0 Total:12 = 25 difference (+7 EV)
Int 6 EV + 7 (13) - RV 6 = 7 RAPS SUCCESS.
This will affect your choice with regards actions...The next day...Posing as a worker seeking employment, a city official, a reporter and as a potential customer in several different phone calls and enquiries taking several hours, Oliver Queen starts to dig into the background of Allied Shipping. It starts to form a picture to build on the information he gathered from contacts and acquaintances the night before after he'd left the police station. OOC Consider the game time to be about dinnertime. GA would operate best at night (able to use stealth etc). With regards the match play (you GMing me as Black Canary) I am fine to simply run this as a one on one GA adventure as it feels very short. The module is happy for this to be run solo (i.e. no need to run the Black Canary adventure section for the GA part to work). Depending on how long this takes to finish off (this side of Xmas or not, not sure yet) I'd like to run you in another DC Heroes adventure, 'Project Prometheus' but would need a few more players for that.
Anyway, back to this. GA has several options, take a look and we'll go from there.

OOC: I can ask my daughters if one or both would want to play in Project Prometheus, if that is okay with you. They won't have an account, I'll just post for multiple characters if we do this. Might be fun.
Green Arrow still has questions, but he promised Detective Cameron that he would let him know if he found any answers. He calls the Detective and first asks him to check if they are speaking on a secure line.
Dice Action: Use Military Science (Electronic Counter-measures) 7 to ensure he and Cameron aren't talking on a tapped wire. bIZmGMVQ1-101-10 and 1-101-101-101-10 1-101-101-101-101-101-10

Detective Cameron growls "Yeah, yeah. Gimme a sec. Call me back on this number...give me 1 minute to get there."
He reels off a number then hangs up.
A minute later GA rings the number and listens carefully. He cannot hear anything distinctive or unusual that would suggest the phone is tapped, though he can hear cars driving by and and the sounds of the street, suggesting Cameron is using a phone booth across the street from the precinct hq.
OOC great roll but no need to check. The dice surely do love you on here. I use WOTC dice roller and it's a real mixed bag.
I have an idea I'd like to run past you at some point when I get time to write it down properly. The basics are: MURPG character creation as usual.
Energy buys dice (from D4 to D20). Resolve contests like DC Heroes, so a Speed action to hit + whatever dice you buy vs Agility or Speed to defend + dice the GM (or opposing character) buys. If the attacker gets higher, they get a bonus to Strength (or weapon type) vs Durability. Damage reduces stats.
Actions can either replace stats (Energy Blast replaces Strength for Damage, for example), act as Free Energy Stones to buy dice with (Close Combat can give free energy to buy better dice, which can also be supplemented with energy dice, for example) or a special effect.
Multiple Dice can be rolled. The highest is picked, but multiple results (say you roll D4, D6, D6, D8 and get 1,4,4,6) add up. For the example instead of 6 you'd add 8 to your Ability score from the two fours.
Modifiers can 'step up' some or all of your dice, or 'step down' your opponents, or have some other effect. For instance Spidermans Danger Sense might step up any dice he buys for defence for the first round of combat by 2 steps, then by 1 step for every round after. By step up I mean D6 to D8, D8 to D10 etc.
I've been playing around with a mashup of MURPG, Marvel Heroic and DC Heroes for a while. Obviously Dice are added, energy is the equivalent of Hero Points and 1s give energy to the opponent, as per Marvel Heroic. So if the GM rolls a pile of 1s, you get the energy, and vice versa.
Anyway, this isn't the right place to discuss it, just thought I'd throw it out there.
"Whatcha got for me?" growls the cop, sucking on a cigarette. "It better be good cause th' mountain o paperwork on my desk is gettin' higher, my ulcers are playin' up an' the ex wife just called so I got a migraine comin' on."

OOC: I've been in moods to create the perfect roleplaying game mechanics in the past, so I feel you. However, currently, I'm more interested in the story-creation and puzzle-solving aspects.
"Have you looked into the owner of Allied Shipping, Major Roger Nathan, USMC, Retired or his operations man, Captain Arnold Jensen? They both served in Lebanon together along with two other Seatle residents, Stephen Bradford and Joseph D'Antino. Together, these ex-marines had the means to pull off Ralph Brickwaithe's murder. If they lack alibis, then they had the opportunity too. As for motive, I find it suspicious that their small company has been so successful over it's two years in business. What are they shipping? Drugs? It could be that Lewis and the other former company employee found out what the company was up to and the leaders wanted them taken out. As for the other four, who all had some connections to drugs, the marines may have needed to strong-arm their way into the local market."
"What I don't get is why they would leave such an obvious signature on all their victims. Was it pride? I'd like to find out if this company of marines left any bodies with this symbol on them in Lebanon. Or maybe the force had a name with an "N" and a "Z" or an "X"."
"What do you think?"
Rolling Charisma (Persuasion): 10 for Cameron's help and trust.
