ISSUE II
REBELS WITH A CAUSE
(Sindor, Wray, Zorto, Naijix and Baran)
Their task completed, the elite agents recruited and trained by Darth Vader made their way back to the Reaper, where they would rendezvous with the Dark Lord to hand over the two relics he had requested from Darth Cheras' tomb. Roughly one hour later since exitting the tomb, the group entered the briefing room aboard the huge starship, where Vader was awaiting them in the company of three other individuals. The first was Captain Kyla Nankor, the Reaper's executive officer and Vice-Admiral Dresden's love interest... Commander Rourke, one of the ship's most respected officers and strategists, and another man none of the team had seen before, namely a male Talortai bearing the robes of a Sith Inquisitor. "Welcome back. I take it you are returning bearing good news?", the Sith Lord asked in his semi-robotic voice. A rhetorical question, of course... if anyone in the room could sense the Dark Side's influence in the two items, it was him. (OOC: Welcome to the main game, psychoboy.)

"Yes, my Lord." Said Sindor simply, seemingly ignoring the other individuals. If Lord Vader intended for them to be relevant to him or their group he would let them know. Until that time Sindor simply uncovered and held out the Holocron with a slight bow of his head.
It was well known that only two results were acceptable in Lord Vader eyes, success or death in the attempt.
Returning empty handed was not an option. Of course what Zorto was going to do with the Sith Lord's light sabre was up to him. A non functioning light sabre was unlikely to do him much good unless there was something special about the crystal. But mostly one light sabre was much the same as another.

As the objects were passed forward Dresden watched the Dark Lords demeanor. These artifacts appeared useless but Vader was not one to collect antiques of the past, though Dresden himself did pride himself on a small collection in his cabin these relics were far more ancient it seemed than anything he had the pleasure of procuring. He did glance at his 2and in command and gave her a brief nod, acknowledging her without interrupting Vaders meeting.

Baran stood attentively at Vader's side, watching the men who he was to work with intently. Nobody seemed to be paying him any attention, but that was probably for the best; Talortai were not known for their chitchat.
He couldn't help but look curiously at the artifacts this team had retrieved for Lord Vader. What significance did they have, he wondered, that made them so precious to the Dark Lord?

Naijix
Naijix simply stood silent as his master came by, accompanied by others, one he didn’t know yet and so he did observe the newcomer, discreetly that is. There was no need to be obvious either. While Sindor handed over the relics they had found in the tomb. His wounds had been dealt with and he was ready to get back into actions.
——————————————- 3 in black ops, to observe the newcomer which I do not know, see what I can get from his demeanour, expression, look, outfit, etc, while not looking like I’m observing him.

"Yes-sir-e-Bob the Starship Buolder we got it... Or at least I hope we did. I like my organs where they are thank you very much." Zorto said half-heartedly trying to lighten the mood.

(OOC: To be fair, Vader has allowed failure in the past. He's just not as tolerant of repeated failures, or critical ones during vital missions. XD)
The Sith Lord reached out with the Force, floating both devices to him, landing the Holocron on the table, and the old lightsaber into his open hand, examining it silently for a moment as all eyes were on him. Then all of a sudden, he snapped the old metal cylinder in half with sheer, brute strength like a child would a twig, revealing a small, colorful gem in it, which he grabbed.
"Excellent work", he said simply, before putting away the stone and moving on. "...I have now both trained you and seen you in action, kept an eye on your progress and watched for any... incompabilities... I could find among your team", he began.
At this statement, Kyla Nankor and Rourke glanced at one another. The commander then spoke.
"As expected, the team works efficiently, loyally and decisively when the need arise, in most situations. Except for... one detail. Lord Vader has foreseen future difficulties and conflict in the team should a certain member remain as part of it. For that reason, we have decided to arrange a transfer for said member to another elite team, under the leadership of the Grand Admiral Thrawn of the Imperial 7th Fleet. That member... is Ms. Blacklight."
"...Hmph... should have expected it", the Zabrak woman grumbled, clearly wanting to express some diagreement and complaints, although she seemed unwilling to do so directly in front of the Dark Lord. "Fine. I'll take the transfer", she let out with annoyance. "What's next then, huh?"
"A shuttle has been prepared for you. Please gather your personal effects and make your way to the main hangar bay as soon as you are ready. We appreciate your services, but we know for a fact you will be most effective in another team", the commander concluded.
"Yeah, yeah... whatever. Fine. You'll all miss me when I'm gone", she said, walking out the room and shutting the door close behind her.
Captain Nankor sighed as she nodded, visibly glad that this part, at least, was over. Vader on the other hand, seemed absolutely imperturbable. The captain then spoke:
"...Moving on. Now, on the matter of replacing Ms. Blacklight... measures have already been taken to bring your new teammate on the Reaper. Meet former Inquisitor Baran Dur, who has accepted Lord Vader's offer to join your team under High Inquisitor Tremayne's recommandation", she explained.

"Greetings then. I trust the Captain here has made sure your accommodations were adequate. I am Wray Dresden. The Inquisitors have a reputation about them I hope working with a team won't be too much of an inconvenience." Wray figured Vader wanted him to be less Imperial Officer on this team and more relatable. Hopefully this would indicate he heared him and show that he could adapt. He looked the new comer over now that he knew who he was he knew what he was looking for but he couldn't get past the species. A very curious type of alien. He suppressed any thoughts of disgust at the alien, it was clear that he would be working closely with different lifeforms and didn't want his own prejudice clouding his judgment. Easier said than done.

"Former Inquisitor? Baran asked, eyes darkening as Nankor introduced him. Quickly, his gaze flitted over to Lord Vader, and he recomposed himself. "I was... unaware that my title would be removed upon acceptance of this mission. I am, of course, more than willing to remain an Inquisitor while assigned to this new station." Dammit, he'd worked hard for the Inquisitor title! They couldn't just take that from him!
Baran glared at Dresden. "This is to be my new commanding officer?" He asked, a touch of venom to his voice. It was clear this human thought him "lesser;" and were it not for Lord Vader being right here, he would put the man in his place. Not to mention his unprofessional attitude. "I would much rather serve under a more... experienced leader." Pah. Humans. Not one of them over a century old, yet strutting about the galaxy like they owned the place. Baran felt his hand stray towards his lightsaber, but quickly caught himself and folded his arms in front of his chest.

Great another problem Wray thought to himself. "First I have rightfully earned my position I assure you. Secondly this is a team and my rank in the military will not have a bearing in working together.. unless Ofcourse it comes to commanding Imperial forces. I too first reacted disdain but after my last mission I realized pride has no place here, we each bring something different to the table. If that's an issue perhaps this isn't the best fit."

Sindor watched the exchange with a wary eye, letting his senses expand into the room.
There was no need for concern, especially with Lord Vader there, but the dark side of the force clearly had a strong grip on the Inquisitor, if his temper was being peaked by a simple title.
"We all report directly to Lord Vader." He said his face turning hard. "You could consider that a promotion."
"Regardless." He said addressing Lord Vader. "It could be useful for the Inquisitor to keep his title my Lord. Fear is a potent weapon."
The Talatori was clearly not used to working in a team, Inquisitors rarely needed to. An insult to Dresden however was an insult to all of them.

"Dude, take a chill pill, take a chill strip, let it disolve under your tobgue and just chill." Zorto said. "Im sure Vader here isn't demoting you if you have not screwed up lately. Its probably more of a promotion, or a side promotion at worst. No need to be hostile we're on the same side here."

Vader slowly turned his gaze to the Talortai. Despite his helmet, Dur could feel its intensity even before the Dark Lord began speaking.
"Ah, yes... titles. As I recall, lieutenant Merrif of the Executor is quite fond of them as well", he said, not even trying to dissimulate the irony in his statement. "I wonder, Dur... from reading your file, I could swear I saw nothing implying you suffered from short-term memory loss. And yet, I recall very vividly telling you you would serve no man, no organization, no group or authority other than me and mine, that you would serve no purpose but the ones I assign to you. I stated you would not serve as an Inquisitor anytime soon. Your response, if memory serves me well, was 'Very well, my lord.'"
He stood up, even taller in his armor than the Talortai.
"...Perhaps have I been unclear? Or are you stating your loyalty to Imperial Intelligence and to the Inquisitorius to be more important in your eyes than your loyalty to me?"

Sindor took a deliberate step back, so he was stood with the others and looked away. Lord Vader was irritated and that made for 'unpleasantness'.
If he had not just had good news it could have been very unpleasant. They had just given him the items he had asked for however which would probably have put him in a charitable mood, but the 'former Inquisitor' was not doing himself any favours.
Not that any of that mattered, the Talatori would survive, or not, but all of this was a distraction. Sindor was impatient to be on their next assignment. Standing around politicing was annoying and Vader's distaste for politics was one of the reasons Sindor had agreed to work for him in the first place.

Naijix
Naijix observed the newcomer, inquisitor, he may have been, but here, he was just another member of the team, leadership in this team depended on the assignment, no official leader had been appointed nor would be for that matters.
The young togruta just gave an amused smile, but soon cut it back to an expressionless face. There was no need to had to the hot sauce. The newbie was in trouble already, certainly he could notice, no?
-We are a team, we work together or not at all, we adapt to our missions and each of us act in order to achieve our goals, the goals that my master, and yours as well, give us, but you already knew that no?-
He said.
