Baran felt a chill creep up his spine as Vader spoke to him. "I-I meant no offense, my Lord. ...I accepted that I would not be serving as an Inquisitor... but I had been under the impression I would still be an Inquisitor. Of course, if my Lord thinks it better that I do away with such... frivolities... I am more than willing to accept his decision." How disappointing. Being an Inquisitor had afforded Baran much respect that alien races had trouble getting in the Empire. But it was not his place to question Lord Vader. Certainly he would be highly respected as a part of the dark Lord's elite task force.
As for his new crew, Baran had to admit it felt better being on equal footing as them, but that Zorto fellow... it was amazing he hadn't been killed for insubordination already! He must be quite the asset for Vader to let him live after that comment. "Very well... I will try this "chill pill." Have you one on your person?"

"You know if I were not a student of the dark side I might be inclined toward a 'Chill Pill' myself." Said Sindor, brutally murdering the grin that was threatening to spread across his face.
"But moving forward, my Lord, do you have a new assignment for us? I'm sure we can help the former Inquisitor to adapt to his new role on route."

"A general lacking an army is not a general, a bounty hunter never hunting bounties is not a bounty hunter, and an Inquisitor not working under the Inquisitorius is not an Inquisitor", the Sith Lord said dryly. "You are to be my elite agent, an enforcer of my will. If you fail to see this as anything but a promotion over your previous duties, then perhaps your time under Tremayne's orders has clouded your judgment with some of his insufferable delusions of self-importance", he said, although Baran Dur could sense this was more of a jab at the High Inquisitor, than at himself. Apparently, the storm had passed.
The black armored figured examined his assembled team, apparently satisfied by what he saw despite the earlier exchange. He nodded but once.
"...Your next assignment awaits you in the Herios sector, in the Outer Rims. You will travel to the ocean world of Illarreen. Multiple encrypted signals have been intercepted in the area. I want you to head over to that world, investigate the signals, and if it is indeed a Rebel base... eradicate it to the last man, save a select few for interrogation purposes. The time has come to test your respective skills in a... larger scale engagement."

"Now we're talking." Zorto said softly but still pumping his fist. He never liked messing with Jedi, and Sith stuff, a straight gunfight was more up his alley.

"As you command." Said Sindor, inclining his head again. Then turning to the commander.
"Do we have any strength estimates or reasons to believe they are aware we have spotted them?"
As a former spacer he had been to lots of places, most of the disreputable but the commander as one of the Reaper's strategist he would be best place to give a more thorough briefing.
The Reaper could handle anything civilians could throw at them, but if the Rebels had a serious military presence they might not be able to do the thorough job Vader wanted done without some preparation.
Actions
General Knowledge: 9 (no specialism but see what if anything I know about Illarreen or the Illarreen system. Specifically native species, cities, potential places to hide a rebel base etc)

Wray raised an eyebrow as Sindor questioned his commander but nodded at his officer to let him know to answer. Wray prided himself on engaging with the crew to promote loyalty... not necessarily to the Empire but that they could trust in his command. He'd like to think he has the most loyal crew in the fleet but that remained to be seen, perhaps sooner than later.
Thinking to the mission he had no doubt this team could extract neccessary information, but wondered could they do so without making more enemies to the Empire? He was worried the about some of them resorting to violence before thought. He was clearly deep in thought and uncharacteristically quiet.

Ah. The "chill pill" was a joke. Well, now Baran felt like quite the fool. But Lord Vader was right; he may not be treated the same as he'd used to be, but working directly for the Dark Lord himself was most certainly a promotion, no matter how one looked at it. "How should we prioritize survivors?" He asked, trying his best to reestablish dignity. "Would you prefer we leave the high command alive, or should we eradicate them for their part in the Rebellion?"

-Leave the investigation part to me, that’s my field of expertise.-
He said, grinning. Once he had the information they needed, they could act and see what they would do. If it was a rebel base, then depending on the scale of the base, they would either have to infiltrate and place some mesures of destruction or just go in full force and tear the place apart, but it all depended on what they would find there. Perhaps it wouldn’t be a rebel base at all.
-First thing first, we need to get there, preferably unseen, if they are rebels, we dont want to attract their attention with imperial craft...-
He said, shrugging.

"As lord Vader explained, at this point in time, whether the encrypted signals are rebel ones in nature remains to be discovered", Rourke noted. "If it was so simple as a rebel fleet hanging out around the world, we would not be tasked with an investigation. Our best guess at the moment is that Illarreen is possibly being used as a supply base, or something along those lines. The enemy probably has starships, but as is the case with most rebel forces, we do not expect them to have much firepower available given how no capital ships has been detected in the area."
Indeed, now that Sindor thought about it, Illarreen was a rather insignificant world, which played a very limited role in galactic history so far aside from being the home planet of the Poss'Nomin, a species only recently introduced to modern technology and spacefaring capabilities. It was a simple world with lots of water, large islands and various more or less powerful nations. Given the limited nature of the Alliance's resources, it was likely they made a base on an island, likely away from the main inhabited landscapes.
"Their survival is of no concern to me", Vader responded to Dur. "If there is information to be obtained from them, then obtain it. Their fate is yours, and your team's, to decide. I trust that you will act accordingly", the Dark Lord said as he grabbed the holocron, before leaving the room. "Dismissed."

Sindor turned and walked away with the others. Zorto's suggestion made him grin.
"Travel with an inflight holo, why not. Plus if there is no visible Star Destroyer hanging around, they are less likely to hide."
"The force will guide us to the rebels we just need to come up with a convincing cover story."
He frowned then his eyes sparkled. He had been watching far too many of Zorto's holovids in his time off.
"Hey Admiral, is there somewhere on board I could get some engineers overalls and equipment. I've just had an idea I would quite like to describe as 'Shiny'."

The togruta looked at his friend for a moment, wondering what he had in mind, then shrugged and kept silent for the moment, waiting for him to share this shiny plan of his to the team.

"We'll take the Reaper near the system then take your ship. We'll want back up close at hand but hidden perhaps near a nebula or the opposite side of a moon. As for the coveralls I'm sure we can find something though they are still Imperial." He replied to two of his team members and turned his attention to his second in command seeing if he can get a read on what she might be thinking.

Holovids? Dress-up? Was THIS the elite team Baran was to be a part of? It sounded more like a children's sleep-over than a high-priority mission! "I... Can we discuss this?" He asked as the others began to go over their plan. "It feels like our transit would be better spent preparing for the mission. And surely we could come up with a better cover story? Perhaps we could disguise ourselves as Bounty Hunters; we're all clearly in excellent physical condition, and we would gain access to the more... hidden side of the planet as a bonus!"

"We could go with bounty hunters, but the rebels don't need bounty hunters. In fact they are probably the target of bounty hunters so that will just make them hide. I was thinking of smugglers and salvagers. The empire hunts smugglers, so the rebels can use them, salvagers go everywhere, look everywhere."
"Sure, we're not going to be welcome, at first, but we won't be killed on sight, and we have a valid excuse for carrying practically anything. Illarreen is a backwater planet where modern technology is relatively rare. Or to put it another way, its a salvagers paradise because low cost modern technology will go at a premium. Now we just need a cargo."
"Or, as an alternative, we play the, 'Hunt the Jedi' game. One or two of us play poor little lost Jedi Padawan who have fled to Illarreen to escape the nasty imperial Inquisitor who is tracking them. We can then run all across Illarreen looking for places to hide. The rebels will be inclined toward helping us and getting us publicly off planet to hide their base and it's all the fault of the force for leading us there and nothing to do with encrypted signals. If the Rebels are really foolish they lead us straight to an even bigger rebel force."
"Or even better we combine the two ideas and play the smugglers who the rebels will hire to get the Padawan off planet."
