Ok, here is an Excel sheet I threw together to calculate characters. A few things to note. *This is NOT A CAD sheet. It is not pretty or organized, and some of the stats neccessary while playing are missing. *Due to the nature of this game, there are no drop downs for actions, modifiers, etc.... You need to type each in. *There is no room for specialties or details. This is what the CAD is for. This sheet is merely for quick calculation of stone cost. *It DOES calculate red and white stones, and adds them correctly. *If you set either special ability option (Intelligence for Energy or Speed for Action Order) to YES, it does calculate costs correctly. *Challenges do remove their stones from overall cost, and these stone values are open to normal input. So, I hope everyone gets some good use out of this. I know it has helped me quickly get a rough estimate for a character without doing too much work or committing too much without a quick way to back out of it. here is the file...... home.comcast.net/~i3ullseye1/MURPCalc.xlsEnjoy!

I really like it. The next step would take a lot of time by trying to add in all of the Powers, Modifiers and various Options per each of those.

At most I might make a dropdown for the actual cost ranks (ie... Action # +3 levels) so you could pick the base cost of the power. And then maybe a column to add or subtract modifiers seperate. But With each new books adding new powers.... and various powers giving you reduced costs on others, it woudl take a full database program to do such a thing well.

Very nice so far, Equipment confused me though, as nothing happened when I entered it in.

Thats because for standard equipment nothing does happen!

Correct.
This sheet will not help as much for multiple forms or powered armor either.

So how would I add in the cost of an upgraded weapon?

I reccommend any unique weapons you pay for go in as a modifier.

I3ullseye, this is the greatest thing I have found for the game. Everybody in my game has been put into this and it has helped tremendously. I helped my g/f brother throw a quick character together, and I was way off on the cost, like 5 or 6 stones too low, thank God you made this, because I may have has a casualty in my game by simple stupidity. I gotta quit doing that kinda stuff.

Someone actually snagged this form me and updated it. Their version is more a full formed character generator, as in you actually have drop-downs for powers by name which then calculates base cost correctly. And then you add any advantages and disadvantages, so it is more a full character creator than quick calculator like the opriginal. I will OK posting a copy of it, unless they want to go ahead and post it themselves.
Pretty spiffy.
