This thread is intended to be used for the sharing, discussion, and requesting of user-made mods for the MURPG Character Builder. This is a test thread for the mod feature of the program, and if there is little attention/response given here then it will likely be deleted. So, without further ado, I will kick things off with a tiny little mod I created on request: Rapid RecoveryDownload: files.filefront.com/Rapid+Recoverymod/;8191828;;/fileinfo.htmlRapid Recovery works like a Healing Factor, except it only supplies extra energy regeneration. Cost Level = Durability.

I haven't had time to download it yet, and I don't think I will (since it shouldn't be too difficult to include in a mod of my own). However, I would like to point out that I have been working a Spidey Guide Mod Pack, and I am almost done with it. However, I don't have any space set up to host it (yet), so that could be a problem.
Also, mostly because I'm lazy, I haven't taken the time to make all the new advantages work for every action and modifier that the should work with, but I did add a few that I felt just made sense. The main example that comes to mind is the Hunt/Seek Advantage available on Rocket Launchers. (I also added it to Psi-Weapon, and Force Blast, maybe others.)

Here are a couple that I've been using. First, a mod to keep all the specifically magical actions in one place. Second, Clairvoyance. An Action from the boards that I have used for a couple of characters. Yes it would be easy enough to add that one in yourself, but it has a lot of options. You'll want to right click/save as with those files, otherwise it will probably try to open the file on your computer, and I'm not quite sure how well that would work . EDIT: Didn't see cause to double post. Here is a mod I created for Hyperspacial Travel. The description is in the rules forum, but it should be noted that this Option for Flight is only intended to be allowed for those who, at the time of getting this option (whether they do so in-game or at char creation) have an AN of 10 in Flight already. Though I suppose that this could be bought and then just isn't available for use until they hit an AN of 10, since till then they can't fly at light speed.

I've got the Spidey Guide mod done. Well, tentatively done, anyway. I hope this link works properly. www.mediafire.com/?aeozxsntdnxWhat I said before about being lazy still applies, so if you want a new advantage or disadvantage on an old action, you'll probably have to change it yourself. Also, I wouldn't suggest using this mod with Dragon Master's Clairvoyance mod above, because the character builder may become confused. All that said, I'd still appreciate feedback on it!

I can't seem to get the Spidey Guide mod to work. It's in the mods folder, but nothing changes. I deleted Dragon Master's Clairvoyance mod and still nothing.

Well, Stain would have a better idea of what may cause problems than I would, but I feel a need ask one question that I think may cause it.
Is the mod loaded into the character builder? (I think it's in the options menu.)

Ah. I didn't even realize that was there. That fixed it. Thanks Kaimontfendo.

No, there is not that I'm aware of. There are a few special rules that would require some extra coding on my part to make the program accommodate them. I'd like to do something like that, but unfortunately I can't make any commitments at this time.

Question for you Stain. I want to create a mod for my newly, soon to be premiering MURPG Suppliment "Final Fantasy: The Dreaming" but I know that the actions and modifiers don't follow the same dynamics as normal actions (Alot of element choosing and the like) So... should I just put them in as is? Or is there more programming involved?

Could you please be more descriptive? The major thing that cannot be modified at this time is the way costs are calculated (other than borrowing from existing actions etc.). So for example, if you wanted to base the cost of something off of Strength, then you couldn't do it. You could use Durability since it's already being used by the Healing Factors. You can easily add Advantages and Disadvantages if that is what you mean by 'elements'.
I hope this helps, but let me know if you have more questions. Thanks!

Actually... come to think about it.. it's not really that different.. I'll see what I can come up with, and if I run into problems, I'll tell you what they are.
