I would add Wasp, Jean Grey, and Charles Xavier to that. I mean come on honestly how often does a player ASK to be Wasp in a game? Aside from the fact if the game were an Avengers game?

Sure, but what does Surfer bring to the table in terms of showcasing the systems flexibility? Silver Surfers abilities; Flight Force Blast Do Whatever Random Crap I Want To Do At Any Given Moment I'm not seeing the showcase here... Again he houses a broad spectrum of power that none of the other heroes have! Who else can do the later of what you have mentioned and is overwhelmingly popular with the Marvel audience... aside from Dr. Strange (MoM)! Again… HELL! I would love to put Apocalypse in the book! But I honestly don’t think he would fit in the grand scheme of things for a number of reasons.

Shrinking, Infiltration, fills the niche of Ant-Man is off having another breakdown, plus SPOILER she died recently, as in permanently(well, you know, its Marvel)

Again... how often do players ASK to play Wasp? Or while I'm at it list her in their top 20 favorite Marvel characters? Uhm... now while I'm on the topic of shapeshifting... maybe we can take Sentinals off my list and replace them with Skrulls!

I still think Wasp needs to be in there, I felt that having all the original Avengers is pretty important

Wasp is awesome.

Wasp is one of those characters (like Cyclops) that has had lots of character development and done some really cool things, all of which have been forgotten by the time the next writer has come around.

Also: put Prince Namor in the book. Please? He didn't appear in the main MURPG book or the Avengers book and he's one of the oldest and greatest Marvel characters.

This is my first time post on any of this, but I wanted to make a suggestion( which will probably not be liked), but if you guys are thinking about making this a book, you should think like the comic book companies. You should definitely have the major stand bys. Spider-Man, Wolverine, Hulk and now Iron Man Marvel's 4 most popular characters. The Fantastic Four, the Avengers and X-Men should be on the list. Characters like Daredevil and Dr Strange. Their main villains that go with them and that is it. Maybe groups like the New X-Men or Runaways for their popularity. What I am trying to get at, you should go with the most current incarnations in the comics. Current FF team, Avengers team( what are there 4?), X-Men team etc. Leave out the dead heroes like Wasp and ( unfortunately) Captain America. Whatever characters are more popular in the current issues. Just to keep up with what's current, because there are a lot of changes since the first incarnation. Look at Beast for example. Just a thought. I actually like the directions I saw you guys going in, but I also like to think it would be appealing to use the current, " who's hot" list, too. I for one haven't read a current Issue since World War Hulk, so I can't even begin to help out here. I love the comics from the 70's and 80's.

Which brings this question in to play... are we making this book for us or are we making it for the "Marvel fans." If it's for us... then lets go with the classics we are dicussing. If w are making it for the "Marvel fans" then I second your opinion!

I would rather read old New Mutants, Power Pack and Alpha Flight over the newer stuff. I even like the old Marvel Two in Ones!

Here's my problem with doing the modern Marvel instead of "classic." Most of whats going on now will no longer be part of the canon within the next two years. Its just the nature of comic books that if you try to make something "up to date" you had better be ready to update it every 6 months (or less). WHEN (not if) they reboot things, they ALWAYS return to classic continuity, therefore the classics will always be the baseline. Of secondary importance, you do realize that doing CADs for characters based off of current interpretations would be extremely difficult. CAD: Hulk Immortal Unstoppable Stronger than everybody Don't even look at him wrong Yaay! What great stats...
