Marve/DC Alliance
This is an Idea I have had for a little while that has good roleplay potential, but I don’t think that I could pull it off as a GM. Right now I’m focusing on my X-Kids roleplay, but this idea is too fun to pass up.
I have kind of an idea thought up, something like The Beyonder brings the heroes and Villains to Battleworld, Doom and Lex team up to steal his powers, and the battle spans across battleworld that’s now shaped by aspects of the marvel and DC world or something.
Wildknight wisely suggested going by the Cartoon versons so characters like superman wouldn’t be completely un playable, and they’d be on a more level playing field.
Feedback, or help?

Sounds okay, but you know what would make it better? MORE GUNS!
Just kidding, sorry. I mean what could make it better is someone equally powerfull as Beyonder but on DC's side, who would team up with Beyonder. Like, I dunno... Mr Mxzpltkswhathisnameis (becouse he thought it would be fun) or someone like that.

I can never remember how its officially spelled, but a good way to remember how to pronounce the imp's name is this;
Mister Mix-Yes-Licks-El-Spits

Superman's brain operates thousands of times faster than ours.

Depends on what you want. If you want to be able to include everybody, you'd need to do it with a "tiered" system
100 +20 (Superman, Batman, Iron Man, Hulk)
75 +20 (Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Spider-Man, etc)
50 +20 (All your other mainline costumed types, like Daredevil)
30 +20 (Non-powered, no-invention using types, ala Punisher)

Agree with tier system. Basically ask for x ammount of each tier, that way you can have low level characters in the same game as gamebreakers (borderline maybe).

The tier system is spot on.

The important thing is to level the playing field by making the players from each "side" play by the same rules (i.e. heavy hitters on both sides get the same stone count, and if you let Superman be created with a cheesy "Mastery of Solar Energy" then by all means, Hulk should be allowed "Mastery of Gamma Radiation" though personally I'd allow neither)

I agree with the Solar Mastery being cheesy and broken, but I mean, Mastery of Gamma Radiation isn't the same. The sun is an enduring and active source of energy, that can fluctuate due to one thing or another. Hulk had a one time, permanent transformation and also doesn't have inherent weaknesses (even though the Kryptonite thing is contrived).
Apparently, he can just keep getting madder and tougher, and people like to play him as invulnerable to Telepathy (even though he's a basically stupid monster). However, Doc Samson can use Psychiatry to calm him (according to the book). Wow. Xavier is worthless and gets swatted, but the merged Hulk ripoff can bullsh!t him into submission?
Lame-o.
Then again, I just hate the Hulk in general. I know how important he is, and respect that - but he still "eats butt." ^^

Okay, but my only point is that people build Superman that way to save a bunch of stones on not buying his abilities separately, and if you allow them to do that, but not The Hulk, then Superman is going to massively overpower The Hulk, which isn't accurate.
In general, I agree with you on The Hulk. Once upon a time I really enjoyed the character, but what he's become is awful.

Oh, yeah, I didn't mean to contradict your point. I probably didn't need to mention how lame the Hulk is.
But Superman pounding the Hulk is a viable concern. I mean, even in the famed Marvel vs. DC crossover, he took almost everything Superman had. With a Toughness of 8, and a possible defensive output of barely over 10 on top of it, I just don't think I see Superman's strength all the way at 21 for some reason.
However, Hulk does have that Accelerated Healing Factor...
What is Superman's like? Does he heal as quickly, in terms of MURPG healing factors? I'm not sure I've been able to tell, as it is so difficult to hurt them. Then, also, you have one or two writers that have Supes lifting an entire mountain or planet, and then everybody gets bent over his CAD, lol.
I mean, how close ARE they, really, in terms of power? It seems blurry to me. I kinda feel like Hulk might win maybe, like, 3 or 4 out of ten times.

Yet another reason I recommend sticking to the DCAU. Superman in there was never bench pressing planets. I'd say a Strength of 10 or 12 is more than adequate to cover everything he ever did on those shows.
I'm sure many would argue, but my personal take on Hulk Vs. Superman is this; Hulk has a higher "maximum" strength than Superman, but Supes is more resistant to physical beatings, and Hulk has nothing BUT physical beatings to hand out.
At the end of the day with reasonable expectations of their power sets, I'd call the fight a draw. At peak power, I think you almost have to give it to The Hulk, now that Marvel has pretty much declared that anything that harms him just makes him even tougher...
