I'm trying to lay down some rules that would be applicable to space combat for MURPG. Any thoughts would be welcome. It is still very much a work in progress.
MURPG: Space
Effort-Resistance=Effect
A Player may take Two Actions a Panel
Kinds of Actions
-Actions: Take up a Action and Stones must be spent
-Unlimited Action: Does take up an action, but stones do not need to be spent
Kinds of Modifiers
-Free Action: Do not take up a action, but stones must be spent
-Modifier: Does not take up an action and stones do not need to be spent.
Stones
-Blue Stones are used for building Characters and increasing statistics
-White Stones represent Health
-Red Stones Represent Energy
Action Numbers
-Action Numbers represent the amount of Red stones that can be used to overcome resistance and create an effect.
-Some Actions are naturally more powerful then others. This causes them to have a higher cost level then normal actions.
Cost Levels
-A Cost Level is the amount of blue stones that must be spent to buy or increase an action number.
-The Cost Chart lists the Cost Levels. It is as follows
1 = 1 BS
2 = 2 BS
3 = 3 BS
4 = 6 BS
5 = 9 BS
6 = 12 BS
7 = 18 BS
8 = 27 BS
9 = 36 BS
10 = 45 BS
+1 = +15 BS
What every ship has to have
-Power Plant
--The Power Plant of a Ship determines how much power in terms of red stones it can produce in a panel.
--Battery
--The Battery of a ship determines how much power in terms of Red stones that a ship can store. The action number is multiplied by 5 to determine this.
-Hull Strength
--The Hull Strength of a ship determines how much damage it can take before being crippled or destroyed.
-Engine Power
--Engine Power Represents how fast a ship can travel though space and pull or push things.
-Thrusters
--Represent how maneuverable the ship is
-Computer
--Represents how sophisticated the on board computer is, a less sophisticated computer is easier to hack.
