So I've been playing this game, and so many of the Tatsunoko characters are practically superheroes anyway that I got bored and started in on CADs for them. So here's Yatterman-1, AKA Takada Gan!
Yatterman-1
Name: Takada Gan
Str: 2
Agi: 2
Int: 4*
Spd: 3
Dur: 2
Close Combat: 3
[Str Bonus]
- Kendama
- Brawling
Technology: 4
Inventing: 3
[Int Bonus]
- Toys and toy-like mecha
General Knowledge: 2
- Mechanical design
Acrobatics: 2
[Agi Bonus]
Modifiers:
Rapid Recovery
Equipment:
Yatterman Costume - +1 Armor
Kendamagic - A modified Kendama used for fighting evil. [Think one of those ball-and-cup things] Has a number of features:
- +3 weapon
- equipped with taser [can be used to shock enemies, doing stun damage]
- very long wire [Functions like Tendril Whip, in that it can be used like Close Combat to attack at range]
- Grappling Hook [+2 Acrobatics]
Challenges:
Psychological, irresponsible [1w]: Gan doesn't take much seriously, and is usually busy doing whatever has got him excited today. The only time he shows any dedication at all is when foiling evil schemes, and usually it takes some personal involvement for him to throw on the costume.
Vulnerable loved ones [2w]: Gan is in love with fellow mechanic, Ai Kaminari. She is aware of his secret identity and even sometimes ventures out with him as Yatterman-2, but still has a tendency to fall into trouble and has been kidnapped often.
Secret Identity [1w]: Gan Takada is secretly Yatterman-1. It's mostly an open secret, though - pretty much everyone close to him is aware of it. Still, he feels the need to protect his identity from his enemies so that they can't target his friends.
Yatterwan - An independent mecha controlled by Yatterman and called in for jobs Yatterman just can't handle alone, Yatterwan has the following stats:
Abilities -
Str: 6
Agi: 2
Spd: 4
Dur: 5
AI: 2
Close Combat: 2
[Str Bonus]
- Raw Strength
Ranged Combat: 2
- Flamethrower
Modifiers:
Toughness +3
Equipment:
Flamethrower - +4 Weapon, 2x Damage, Collateral Damage, Area Attack
Mecha Production Facility - The real core of Yatterwan, when fed a special Mecha-Food, Yatterwan can produce tiny robots known as the Mecha of the Week, small bizarrely appropriate-to-the-situation mechs that help Yatterwan overcome its enemies. In terms of effect, this essentially produces a small swarm of about ten one-health, no-defenses robots who can use any one given power at AN5, with their stones coming from the general pool. This ability can only be used once per episode [er, Issue]
Background: Gan Takada is the son of a famous toymaker, who had spent his life working on a rescue vehicle shaped like a clockwork dog known as Yatterwan. With an innate love of machinery and a knack for construction, it was Gan who would eventually become a mechanic and finish his father's ultimate construction. He uses it to confront the evil Dorombo Gang, a group of con-artists and thieves who seek to capture a group of stones that grants wishes. While mostly harmless, they tend to pose a lot of risk to the public with constant giant robot attacks and other underhanded methods of trying to track down the stones. For this reason, Gan became a hero, taking on the mantle of Yatterman and using the completed Yatterwan to foil their schemes.
