THE CHEMISTRO CONNECTION! At the Amalgamated Chemical & Pharmaceutical warehouse on 37th Street, twenty men are hard at work loading valuable chemicals for shipping and resale. Unfortunately, these men do not work for Amalgamated Chemical & Pharmaceutical. Fortunately, they're not going to get away with it. Power Man happens upon a robbery, lead by an old friend of Luke's named Mingo. "You shouldn't 'a come here, Lucas!" Mingo snarls, pulling his assault rifle on the Hero for Hire. "These things can't kill you, I know, but maybe they can put you down for the count!"Power Man's Health: 5/5

Meanwhile, a couple of miles uptown, and a world away, at the Rand townhouse on Riverside Drive... He's Iron Fist--The Living Weapon! He fought Shao-Lao The Undying and won! "Just feeling sorry for myself, I guess," Danny inhaled slowly, then let the breath out even more slowly through his nose. Misty was great, as girlfriends went, but could she, or anyone else, really understand what he'd experienced? His loss of purpose was so thorough, so complete that he wasn't sure what to do now.

Maybe, but then again maybe not. I guarantee that I'm gonna put YOU down, Mingo if you keep walkin' this razor's edge, Luke cage looks into Mingo's eyes for any kind of sign of aggression, Now, why don'tcha call it a night and go home 'fore ya get hurt.

Danny kissed Misty lightly, then pulled away. "Gotta split. Luke hates it when I'm late for a meeting." He did his best to put on a strong smile for her, then headed out the door. Even if K'un-L'un no longer wanted him, he still had obligations to keep.

"Aw, man -- What kinda worm you become, Lucas?" Mingo moves out of range from Power Man's uppercut, but his men start to scatter. "I'm gone, Lucas!" Mingo says, turning tail. "But listen, you'd better get outta here and go on back up to Park Avenue -- you don't belong here no more!"
Shortly, at Heroes for Hire, Inc.'s Park Avenue offices, Daniel Rand finds his partner, Luke Cage, arguing with their executive secretary, Jenny Royce. They seem to have a potential customer on the phone... or do they? Why is Power Man so set on working for AC&P? Is it because they've been robbed and odds on they'll be robbed again? "Competition is one thing..."

Danny tried to sound chipper, but between his own problems and the seemingly odd behavior of Luke just now, it was tough to feel like anything more than a bit of dirt on the heel of the universe.

Power Man and Iron Fist eventually win the business of Amalgamated Chemical & Pharmaceutical with a special one-time only introductory offer, half price. So Daniel Rand puts his suit on. If they're gonna crack this case, they need information. And the place to get that is on the street.
Shortly, Cage spots his homey,"Apples" Smith, smoking a cigarette outside a porn shop.

Oddly, Danny didn't feel the slightest bit strange as he walked toward Apples in his bright green-and-yellow costume. These were his streets, after all.

Danny couldn't believe it. Luke was getting shut down on information sources. It was funny how quick these street types turned on Luke, just because the man was trying to make a difference in the world now. You'd think they'd appreciate someone trying to clean up the neighborhood.
Clenching his fist, Dan stepped a bit closer to Apples. "Now you've hurt my buddies feelings, Apples. How's'about you make it up to him by answering a question or two, before I start getting upset?"
