Rogue
Perplexed, Rogue looked at the others leaving the room, as fast as they had gotten in. It was almost like they couldn't stand looking at their mentor, their leader, in such a weakened state. She, on the other hand, knew very well what it meant to be weak and lost, and he had been there for her that time. She took his unmoving hand with care, almost like it could break if she moved it too quickly.
-I ain't a-knowin' if you can hear me or not, professor... but ye just hang in there... please. I only been with ye folks for a short while... and yet, I find me carin' more for all y'all than I been carin' for anyone, ever... so get better, y'hear? ...
She let go of his hand. She hated to admit it, but she had been wrong for way too many years before. As much as she thought of Mystique as a surrogate mother, Xavier had been like a father to her. Giving one last look at the man, she stepped back towards the door, fully intending to return soon. There were answers to be sought now... the "accident" that had happened to the Professor was anything but that. It had been sabotaged, or something. She had to know who was behind that, and neutralize the threat. Then she could return to watch over her mentor.
With that last thought, she walked out of the room, heading for her teammates, unaware of the crisis they were facing.

Rogue
She hadn't expected something like this as she was returning to her teammates, but in some way, Rogue wasn't entirely surprised. After all, she did suspect some kind of attack on the mansion when... professor X was hurt. And judging by how easily she had stopped Wolverine, that weird girl was no pushover... but could she hold back Wolverine, Colossus, and herself all at once? She doubted it.
-Hands off Logan, sugah, or I'll have you tastin' one o' my homemade knuckle sandwiches! HYAAAA!!
Leaving her relaxed walking speed in favor to going as fast as she could by flying directly at her foe, Rogue attempted to knock her lights out with one punch!

The pain was intense, her power unbelievable...this was Jean. But how could it be!? She had died on the Blue Area of the Moon, he was there, he had seen it. What could he do? He could not battle someone like Jean? He was just a fuzzy elf. Clutching his side, he takes a moment to watch the scene unfold and gather his senses...

Colossus struggles to get to his feet, the pain was unbearable. Release her, JEAN! She has done NOTHING! Why do you attack us? Colossus is enraged, but he's hesitant to approach Jean in battle. Maybe it is best to talk first.

Stopped dead in her tracks. With a single hand... by that small redhead? Rogue didn't expect that to happen, and her eyes told her opponent that much. That "Jean" girl's grip was stronger than reinforced steel.
-...Kuh... lemme go, ye witch! Wha' the hell do ya want?
She tried to break the girl's grip on her throat with all the strength she could muster, but she could feel it was pointless. The redhead had stopped her so easily, she was probably unable to move one of Jean's fingers, let alone break free.

Rogue
Rogue's body smashes into the wall, with crushing effectiveness. Apparently, the wall won the encounter despite the large cracks which could now be seen in it. Right after the impact, she collapsed and ended up lying face down on the ground, unconscious.

Colossus grabs his eyes. Disoriented, Colossus stumbles forward, falling upon one knee. I am not sure, tovarisch and I am sure it is not good. Colossus waits until his vision is restored to look about the room and stand up.

Storm groaned and stood up, wobbling slightly. "I agree. I don't know what the Phoenix is doing, but it won't be good. And more disturbingly, if she's telling the truth....she's coming back." She looked around the room, and noticed Rogue knocked out. She walked over, and double checked to make sure she was alright. The Phoenix had knocked her, Rogue, and the rest of the team around with no trouble at all. How? And why was she doing this? It didn't make any sense.

The X-Men tend to their wounded. Colossus helps Nightcrawler carry Scott to the infirmary, while Storm and Wolverine find Rogue. Minutes later... "I've been trying to contact the Starjammers ever since Phoenix left," Kitty Pryde says to the X-Men, now gathered around the comm station, "but there's massive interference all across the spectrum. Even our laser and subspace comlinks are being scrambled." Probably Phoenix's doing, but they must get through. The X-Men must warn Scott's father and Princess Lilandra of the danger. So Ariel keeps at it. "Bingo! I'm getting a response!"Nightcrawler's Health: 1/3
