RogueRogue stared at the screen in a daze. Manhattan... all the citizens... all the superheroes... gone in a second. Not just gone... annihilated. Vanished. Destroyed. -D... DAMN HER!... that bloody goddamn monster!She clenched both of her fists in rage as her stare turned into an infuriated glare, then turned away from the screen, heading outside. She was angry, and she felt so helpless... Heck, if that "Jean" redhead wanted, they'd be all dead already. But she wouldn't go down without a fight, that was for sure. After several steps, she paused, and looked at Nightcrawler. -...Listen up, blue boy. That... thing... ain't yer friend no more, no matter what you remember. Didn't you just see what she done? There's nowhere safe anymore. It's kill... or be killed. An' I don't care no more about anything else, I'm gonna stop that monster o' die tryin'!Then she turned away and resumed walking towards the exit. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- OOC: If nobody stops me, I'm going outside.

Then on her way to the exit, Rogue spots Phoenix in the hallway!

Storm kept quiet for a moment, then said, "I understand everyone's upset. So am I. But we have to remain calm. If we try to go into this looking for revenge, she'll tear us apart." She didn't add that that was a good possibility anyway. This Phoenix was far beyond anything she was used to. And she had no idea what to do now.

Rogue
Rogue could hardly believe it; there she was! Right in the hallway... And this time, there was no way she'll allow her to get away. Not without a fight. At this point, it really didn't matter wether she'd die or not... didn't it? After all... so many others were gone. She removed her gloves slowly, glaring at her foe.
-You... the Professor... the Avengers... New York City... all o'em away in space...
She doubted she could do anything, but she had to try...
-...YOU AIN'T GETTIN' 'WAY WITH IT!
She once again flew directly at the redhead, to punch her in the face with a bare fist!

Rogue
Rogue doesn't stop there; she knows any second might be her last. Hopefully she hasn't lost the advantage of surprise... so she throws several more punches at her opponent. At the very least, she hopes to keep her on the defensive long enough for the X-Men to show up and finish her off.
"With a LOT o' luck, ah might be still alive when they do", she thinks ironically to herself as she desperately tries to beat the redhead senseless.

Wolverine spits out his badly chewed up cigar and *SHIKT* as he runs directly at Phoenix and slides on his hip raking his claws upward, hoping to injure her enough so they can restrain her.

Storm hovered, unsure of what to do. They had to try something, but just attacking her wasn't going to do anything, that was obvious. Then it occured to her, The Phoenix couldn't block attacks from all angles, she wasn't all knowing. It was worth a shot. "Kurt, hit her when she's distracted. We've got to try sometihng." She saw Wolverine and Rogue going after her. "Hit hard and fast, but watch yourselves!" She called after them. Then, Storm decided it was her turn. She took aim at the ceiling above Jean, and fired, attempting to bring it down on her.

Rogue
Not only did it apparently not even slow the Dark Phoenix to be punched with all of Rogue's might, but she even went so far as to ignore her! She couldn't forgive her opponent for not even caring to pay attention to her attacks. As if she was insignificant or not even worth that redhaired demoness' time...
-There's no way I'm lettin' you escape me! STOP RIGHT THERE!!
She flew in pursuit, heedless of the risks...
