Aimed for kids? Dude, have you ever seen Marvel Superhero Squad? Compared to that, this is adult fiction. And "hey, I know this guy!" isnt something a KID would say, becouse you know, kids dont read comics nowadays. They shouldnt anyway, its a gorefest I wont be showing my (eventually) kids untill they're older. But I know I will be saying that a lot when it comes out

I'm actually much more concerned about the sexuality in comics than I am about the violence. Kids are smarter than people give them credit for. Seeing a little blood probably won't hurt them. (That said, I FULLY support your right to choose for your children when the time comes. I hate people sticking their noses in how other people choose to raise their children. Short of abuse or neglect, of course)

Little blood? Oh please, Mortal Kombat has less blood then this! On the other hand, there's Wonder Dog eating Marvin and crippling Wendy (Teen Titans), Ares getting ripped in half by -that-guy-I-wish-to-forget and stuff like that. But yeah, sexual overdose is a problem too.

... and yet people still actually pay for comics. Un-friggin-believable.

... and yet people still actually pay for comics. Un-friggin-believable. Judging by the number of free scanlations I can find in 5 seconds- not that many. I wonder why...

Okay, well, I guess another way to look at it is... you can get this stuff free off the internet, and I still can't be bothered to read it. That's how bad its gotten.

Fair enough. The only recent title I read is Batgirl, so go figure.

I put it about JLU on the 'ready for adult consumption' scale, which I think was the whole point of Thor's scene in there, and Jan's lines, to show that 'see, this show does have heart and storyline' and whatever. It won't quite have the themes, mythology and timelessness of Avatar TLAB or Batman TAS, but it certainly won't have the bland cheekiness of LOSH or Teen Titans. At least, if the trailer is any indication of the high points of the series.
And to be honest, is adult fare really any more sophisticated than kid far nowadays?

Sophisticated is a sticky word, but by and large I think the answer is yes.
That said, I never found Legion of Super Heroes lacking for adult content. Yes, it was mostly a "kids show" but like a lot of stuff aimed at kids nowadays, the writers were often wily enough to work in stuff that the kids didn't necessarily "get"

That... didn't encourage me. Obviously they decided that the success of the Iron Man movies meant that they had to try to recapture Downey's version of Stark. Too bad that can't be done without, y'know... Downey. The animation is also really fugly.

I dunno, I kinda liked the animation. Though... I can't help but think Tony looks like he should be Doctor Strange here.
