Hello, my name is Mr.... Snrub, and I come from... a place far away! Yes, that will do. I believe you should read this article on Advanced Dorks and Deconstruction on the Top 5 Joker Stories of All Time over here. "I like the way Snrub thinks!"

Wow. I really wanted to poo poo this (particularly after reading their description of who they think Joker is... I'm deeply opposed to this notion that Joker is Batman's "opposite number"), but I actually agree with every choice on the list, and the ordering of the list. Very well done.

Hey, if two people who disagree on the fundamentals of the issue come to the same conclusion... that says something about the results, I guess.

I can't immediately find that splash panel of Joker saying "'Sup?" So, picture that here. But, yeah, that's another great one! And by Paul Dini, a man who I would probably drop down and do the Wayne's World "We're not worthy" to if I were ever actually in his presence. Although ask me about my Top 10 Batman villains of all time, and you might find some surprises...

Pyg and his cronies are a really interesting new complication, and I certainly hope to see more of them. When I first encountered him in Batman & Robin, it was the first time in quite a while that a new villain made me stop and think "Huh, this one might actually have some staying power." Batman villains need to have a certain iconic quality and represent a certain element of the damaged psyche in order to have any kind of shelf life, it seems, and Pyg looks like he has that potential.
Anyway, the Joker list was pretty awesome, I must say. I appreciate that he kept it fairly classic, though if he went more modern I would definitely nominate Brian Azzarello's story "Joker" for the list. I really enjoyed that, and it gave an interesting and little seen side of Joker's existence through life cycle of a hapless henchman.
