“It didn’t take long for Reach to fall. Our enemy was ruthless. Efficient. But they weren’t nearly fast enough. For you had already passed the torch. And because of you we found Halo, unlocked its secrets, shattered out enemies resolve. Our Victory - your victory - was so close… I wish you could have lived to see it.But you belong to Reach. Your body, your armor, - all burned and turned to glass. Everything…except your courage. That, you gave us. And with it, we can rebuild.” - Dr. Halsey Well, I have beaten the game and it is beyond awesome. The best Halo since the first one. The online play is badass as well. This game has inspired to work on a Halo RPG as well was read the books, don't have any yet though. I just wanted to hear people thoughts on the game and if they played it and to remind people to always "Remember Reach".

Sorry, but the Battle Chant of the Legion of Alderaan is infinitely more stirring.
In the grave of Alderaan, In the night of Charenthoth, In the Sands of Tatoome, And the bloody hell of Hoth,
We will meet the enemy, We will sound the battle-cry, With our comrades at our sides, We will fight and we will die:
Though they hunt us 'cross the void, Though they kill us by the score, Though they crush our blessed home, Though the mighty Death Star roars,
We will meet the enemy, We will sound the battle-cry, With our comrades at our sides, We will fight and we will die: (alternatively, "they will die" the second time through)

Apparently I like Halo slightly more than playah LOL
It's okay. It sure as heck doesn't deserve the hype it gets though.

I've played Halo 1 and 2. I liked 1 better, though. I never played it multiplayer, though, and I gather that's a big part of the attraction. In general I don't like multiplayer FPSers that much.

In general I don't like multiplayer FPSers that much. ~TWF That's where I stand, too. I'm man enough to admit that it's because I suck at them. It's just no fun being the guy that gets killed left and right. Of the FPS games I have played, Halo is far from my favorite though. Rainbow Six is first, and Perfect Dark Zero was a lot more fun than Halo's story mode (and TBH, I know Halos soundtrack gets rave reviews, but I find that music aggravating after a while. Not as aggravating as those stupid little Flood critters though.)

Ah Fps games..something else im awesome at...
however, i've never ever cared for halo either. Mostly because i dont have an x-box nor an x-box 360. Im more of a PC gamer kinda guy. And if not Pc, then Playstation has always been better then x-box (in my opinon) So, i've never gotten into halo.
Halo reach however, i've played. It's fun, for awhile. (like most FPS games.) the thing i like the most was the level creator. Me and my friend built a badass level, and it took awhile to make. But that's the only thing about halo i liked...
When it comes to FPS, my game is pretty much in the "battlefield" region. And i dont care for C.O.D. either...Battlefield bad company 2 is friggin awesome!!!

I haven't finished the game yet but from what I have played, I've enjoyed. Though I'm not a FPS fan, it was a fun game to play with a friend

FPS are not for everyone and if you do not like FPS, then you will not like Halo Reach, etc.
I am not well versed in in FPS either, it was Goldeneye for the N64, then last Christmas I got my Xbox 360 and it was Modern Warfare 2, and now it is Halo Reach. I have played all of the other Halo's though at friends houses and things like that.
I personally enjoy the Halo setting and I thought Reach was powerful and there crazy moments as you played though.
Since I got my hands on Halo, I have not touched Modern Warfare 2 and if/when I get Black Ops I might have to take a break from Halo.

FPS are not for everyone and if you do not like FPS, then you will not like Halo Reach, etc. Well that's just not true! I generally avoid FPS like the plague. Halo... Halo sucked me in somehow. Generally I don't like any game that uses First Person (I like to SEE my character, not just his weapons/fists) I played REACH for the first time last night. I'm enjoying it thoroughly, even if I played on EASY as it's the first time my X-Box has been powered on in almost a year :-P

Reach is probably my favorite in the Halo series. Armor abilities really do it for me. Specifically Armor Lock-Up. First person is probably my favorite way to play any game. I don't know how I'd feel about a Halo themed game. I believe it's been tried before but my main concern is that there wouldn't be a lot of variety in the missions. Maybe it's a moot point.
On another note, you spelled Halsey wrong on the quote, shenron. Thought I'd let you know.
