HEROES AND VILLAINS With all the hot rocks being unloaded around here lately, these boys couldn't have been more conspicuous if they'd advertised! Now as Peter hangs from the ceiling, readying his automatic camera, the old Parker luck kicks in... "Holy smokes! It's Spider-Man!!"Three men reach for their guns, while a fourth makes a run for it. Aw, you guys spoiled the surprise. Spiderman takes aim at the arms of the two outer gunmen, intending to pull on them in such a way that the middle crooks arm is sandwiched between the other two and all three drop their weapons. Don't you guys know you shouldn't play with guns? Someone might get hurt. When this is accomplished, he swings forward, releasing his grip on the line that was holding him up and commences with some defensive aerial acrobats to land behind the men.

After knocking three of the goons together, Spider-Man lands between the crook trying to escape and the exit. But now a fifth thug comes charging at Spidey with a switchblade in his hand!

Spider-man
To the fleeing man, Spider-man says, "Leaving so soon? We were just starting to have fun." Noting the other man with the knife, he says, "Y'know, buddy, I was just giving your buddies over there a lecture on guns. You ready for your turn?" Quipping briefly over, he launches a few lines at the fleeing man and swings him into the knife-wielder, keeping his guard up just in case.

Great! Just when you think the party's over... "Mo, Larry, Curly, you might want to stay down, unless you want to see what real slapstick's like." Seeing them get up, Spider-man adds, "Alright, I did warn you." With that he leaps into the air, flipping as he goes, to land on the middle man's shoulders. Then he grabs the heads of the other two and smacks all three heads together.

Noting that the two guys near he door are still semi-conscious, Spider-man decides to keep them conained with some webbing. "That should hold ya for a while." Suddenly, his spider-sense warns him of the camera-guided machinegun. Flipping for cover, he says, "Yikes! If I wanted to be swiss cheese, I would've asked!"

Whoever's monitoring Spider-Man just made a fundamental mistake! He always outdoes himself when he knows he's on prime-time! So after catching crooks just like flies, Spider-Man watches out! And here comes a corny joke... Spidey just ducked behind the peeper, so now he can try sneaking up and pulling the cork out of its little popgun! Spider-Man's Health: 5/5

Then he adds, "And no matter what, your baby's going to be the luckiest kid in the world to have you as parents." He smiles warmly.

The Osborns are gonna mingle. Peter can catch them later. Pete recognizes the blond jokester in the blue shirt and purple jacket as Barry Hapgood, the shop class cut-up. "Hey, Pete," Barry calls. "Maybe you'd better watch out! Here comes Flash Thompson! You know how he used to make life miserable for you in school!" But those were the old days. Today Flash and Peter are the best of friends!
