well, I believe he's an Alien, but from the way he looks, I find it no coincidence that there's only one letter between Doop and Poop

I think it's agood idea to have Pokémon on MURPG. (If you're a 9 year old) Anyways I think the Pokémon should have their own stats and if you want to catch one add the pokeball and your energy vs the Pokémon's Def (Resistance) If you succeed then you catch it. As for training refer to "Animal Training" action and social Skills maybe.

Doop is a potato that was exposed to either gamma radiation, radioactrive bugs, or cosmic radiation. Thats Marvel logic.
Doop is a potato that was watered with hard water. That's DC logic.

I vote for the Cosmic Radiatet Potato.... Sounds most logic to me: During the first missions on the moon, one of the astronauts had taken a potato along with him. When walking on the moon, he accidently dropped it, and it driftet into space. Years later, the potato starts to grow and sprouts arms and eyes, and become the being we now know as Doop... He then travels to earth to exact revenge on the one who dropped him ( )

I could see using Pokemon in a campaign. They could be beasts that the PC's can beat on and earn "relatively" easy LOE's much like the beasts in any other RPG...

Doop is a potato that was watered with hard water. That's DC logic. ...or Golden Age Marvel logic. Heh, nothing beats the GA Whizzer's origin; superspeed via mongoose blood. ;D
