I need some good workout music. I've joined a gym, and I'm doing 45 minutes (min) of cardio a day. I have my mp3 player, and its loaded with some good stuff, but it strikes me that if I do this almost an hour a day 5 days a week, the stuff I have is going to get old pretty quick.
So... suggestions?

These are some of my favorite running tunes, take 'em or leave 'em!:
Sleepyhead - Passion Pit How You Like Me Now - The Heavy Wolf Like Me - TV on the Radio (really good for speed intervals) Levee Breaks - Led Zeppelin Banquet - Bloc Party Ain't No Rest for the Wicked - Cage the Elephant Trashcan - Delta Spirit That Girl That Boy - Hadouken! Mr. Brightside - The Killers Lots of Muse Running up that Hill (cover) - Placebo (good for mid-work out) Satisfaction - Rolling Stones The Seeker & Baba O'Reily - The Who

It's the Eye of the Tiger it's the Thrill of the fight....
Sorry, random musical interruption. But that's one of my reccomendations. I'll come up with more later.

Not sure what to suggest, as my exercise of choice is swimming, and Beckett (my iPod) can't swim. When I do go for walks or runs, though, I just listen to anything I enjoy. Even slow music can be good for a workout. I find I just benefit from anything that takes my mind off what I'm doing, even if it isn't inspirational. (Though I must admit, Going the Distance is the best workout song of all time.) Honeslty, I can work out to anything from the Eagles of Death Metal to the actual Eagles. I've worked out to Simon and Garfunkel. ' And don't overdo it on the cardio! 5 days a week is more than I can handle, anyway. (I do 45 mins 2 to 4 days a week.) Overtraining is nobody's friend. ^__^ EDIT: What I want to invent is a treadmill or elliptical machine or whatever that plays music for you - but the songs get better the harder you work. If you start slacking off it starts playing the Backstreet Boys or Kesha or something. ~TWF

Also, if you get involved in strength training, you will want to do that for a minimum of 3 days a week. 2 days will see you maintaining your current muscle mass and shape very nicely, but to start seeing visible changes you want to go 3 days a week.
A trainer I worked with forever ago was the one who recommended that one, and since taking that advice, I've seen noticable changes.

I'm not much for working out, but when I work outside or I am doing some other sort of physical labor, I like something heavy one of the best albums for that, though it is some what profane is Clutch's first album. Best bet is to find some stuff that would kinda blend together nicely and have very little noticeable jumps otherwise you will be paying more attention to the music then working out or whatever.

Music I like to work out to and also practice Martial Art moves to stay sharp on self-defense, and it's also just good fun.
the band though has about 40 songs or more i believe from all their albums, it's soft electronic music but, i'd rate it as Post-Rock.. Try sampling some songs from Youtube for: God is an Astronaut.. two of my favorites i have on my youtube queue right now are, Shores of Orion, and A deafening Distance.

I know I'm probably the only one, but I listen to Mozart while working out, or studying.
However, if I was going to give one advice on cardio it would be one thing, don't over do it if you're getting back into it. Some people getting back into it, or getting into it set their goals too high. Then they burn out to quickly. So, 20 minutes is a little better, because it can be done for longer periods of time without getting old. I do that about 6 times a week, and I'm in good shape, but I've been doing that for about a year now. Another thing is time, because I still have to work on the bioforce, and do studying stuff. It all haves to do with your personal work out routine, and what you can handle.

I've been on a kick listening to Eric Whitacre while I exercise, although I guess I'm a special case (but it looks like F-Bomb isn't that far off...).
Generally, I'll just pick a band and hit shuffle. Barenaked Ladies is a good one, since I know and like most of their music!

How on Earth could I not have BNL in here? This is an oversight I shall correct.

I used to hate exercising in the old apartment, but my new house is all tile so it doesn't get all itchy!
