Know what, I'm not even going to PLAY the game, so I don't know why I'm commenting, but...
Simpler doesn't mean worse. For some of us, it's an improvement.

Yeah, becouse having three punch buttoms added soooooo much depth. I mean, you can throw a fireball that is slow, faster and fastest! Or make an uppercut that is weak, medium or strong! ...and you end up using the strongest moves anyway, so whats the point? Yeah, some characters had different versions for each buttom (Gambit comes to mind- he had three different combos for one combination), but really- I can live without it.

The buttons do more than light, medium, and heavy. They have missions that teach you about combos. The Galactus battle was great. You can mash buttons if you want, but you won't be able to defeat some of the characters (even on the easy setting). Deadpool is fun to play, because he likes to mimic Ryu, and his special gun attack is funny to listen to. =) If you liked Street Fighter or Mortal Combat I would think you'd like this game too.

Alright, im playing this game right now and its alright..the controls are in fact different, but just a lil. Even so, ill have to play in practice mode for awhile to fully grasp this
Edit: this is WAAAY too button mashing friendly..I say this because my friend (who never played a fighting game in his life) is owning 3 of my friends WHO HAVE been playing these kinds of games for years...
...yeah...that sucks :/

It is button masher friendly. I haven't found any people that aren't occasionally button mashers, so I'm not sure if it's so bad that skilled players can't beat button mashers, but, honestly, I'm smoking people online, and I still haven't figured out how to counter an air combo.

I figured out why i dont like the game so much.
- They made it like the streetfighter 4 kind of controller settings. I liked how it was back then. So thats a negative to me
- Personally, i LOVE 2D fighters..the 3d is cool, but 2D animation is just amazing to me. Dont get me wrong the 3d graphics are good, but its a personal thing for me lol..2D is always the way to go for me.
- too little start off charactes. I know they're going to make more DLCs (downloadable characters/content) but still, to start off with such little numbers is "meh" for me. Im just kinda picky ;D
thats all..i know others love this game, but i just think its alright. I like the MvC2 better so far. but maybe in time i'll develop a better love for this one. Thats just me.

Top Ten Things I like about MvC3 so far.
10. Deadpool's occasional humor. (I say occasional, because it's only occasionally funny.) For example, his ending.
9. Chun-Li's Ending.
8. She-Hulk telling Deadpool "If this game was made in 1991, I'd have the move where I hit you with my health bar."
7. Doctor Doom boldly declaring "I'll make you wish you were facing Magneto!"
6. Nightcrawler's Cameo in Trish's ending.
5. Instead of the usual "Iron Man" and "Captain America", these two call each other Steve and Tony. It's a nice touch.
4. Iron Man hitting on Crimson Viper, even after she says into her phone "I can't talk now; mommy's at work."
3. Crimson Viper in general, especially when she gets an offer to join S.H.I.E.L.D.
2. PROTON CANNON!!!
1. Felicia telling Dormammu "Hey! Your head's on fire!"

You guys are right. This game is button mashing friendly! We just played it at a game club in school and I managed to win against the guys who usually beat me by button mashing. And it had nothing to do with the fact I had Deadpool, Dormammu, and Wesker on my team.

I wouldn't hate a new Killer Instinct Game. I'm still angry over the DC Vs Mortal Kombat game. I remember playing the old Death of Superman Game, and Spiderman Maximum Carnage game on the SNES, and if anything they should actually break down and do a Marvel Vs DC game, and use Capcom's fighting engine.
They've done the comics together, but I don't think we'll ever get to see a MArvel/DC Alliance or breat'me up.

Man sounds like King of Fighters and Virtua Fighter are the only real fighting games left. (tekken feels too slow and chunky for me)

Despite loving all Capcom and SNK 2D fighter (and I do mean ALL of them, even the most obscure ones... except Street Fighter- I hate it), I could never get into any Capcom vs SNK games. I dunno why, maybe becouse some of my favourite characters werent there (Im more into obscure and less known characters, mostly) or maybe becouse fighting system was unlike anything I saw in any of those games. Gotta try it out again someday, I feel like I was doing it wrong.
