All I really need to know is this; is Cheetara still going to talk like she smokes 4 packs a day? Is that a plus for you? ;D Seriously, I'm not a fan of Anime, but I'd watch this... If I actually watched tv anymore. Which I don't. So maybe I'll watch it on Netflix in a couple years...

I loved the original. Looking forward to see this one but I fear it will fail like He Man did. I liked the new He-Man, even thought I grew up with original version. Could've been better, though (both version could, in fact).

Yeah I definitely think the new He-Man was a ton better than the one from my childhood. The only thing I wished is that it was a bit more adult-oriented. Oh well.
I also wouldn't really say it was a failure. 3 seasons isn't shabby for a cartoon.

I liked Marshal Bravestar out of all the 80's action cartoons. He was way less gay than Liono or H-Man, or at least he didn't dress as gay. It seemed like most of them dressed like some kind of gay S&M weirdo's.

I remember. I still have my Bravestar and Tex Hex toys. I never owned the 30-30 toy, but with the power of ebay I may some day.

I miss the 80's Saturday mornings, and other cartoons in general. Tigersharks, DinoRiders, Silver Hawks, and the works.

DinoRiders had amazing toys.
There's actually an RPG called Cartoon Action Hour (Season 2 is the 2nd edition of it) that I really like. In fact I intend someday to run a game based on The Transformers using it.

I loved the original. Looking forward to see this one but I fear it will fail like He Man did. This is how I feel precisely. Not that I have any concept about when this is going to be on air, because I've been to lazy to really do any research beyond what little I've seen mentioned here on these boards... but still. I'm curious enough that I'd like to see what they do.

Not every property is TMNT. Some of these things are better off dead. I couldn’t bring myself to care about Ghostbusters Extreme. Only two of the post-80s Transformers cartoons (Beast Wars and Animated) were remotely watchable and it’s best not to get started on the trainwreak movies Bay made. Plus, I saw some reruns of Thundercats on Cartton Network years ago and I was a little embarrassed to have liked the show as a kid.
Of course, having said that, the recent remake of He-Man was surprisingly good.
(And I agree that DinoRiders toys were awesome)
Also, does anyone remember Centurions? Just asking.

I actually found the exact same thing; that when I went back and watched the old Thundercats, I wondered what on Earth I was thinking as a kid. But that's kind of why I'm interested to see what they do for the update.
And yep, I remember Centurions. I saved allowance for two months to get one.
