Idk, I think it would be a game of baiting the other out and it would end in a draw, just like if you put Riddick up against either of them. Though I think Riddick vs. The Killer would be a much grittier and entertaining fight.

Batman has taken out bigger and badder than Riddick, or The Killer. If it's a game of wits and drawing the other out then that would be a straight loss for anyone facing Batman. The last thing you would ever want to give The Dark Night is time to think. Making a plan to Draw him out just gives Batman time to think of a way to beat you. The only person who would have a change really is Chuck Norris, jk.

I don't think Batman has ever gone up against someone like Wesley, he comes from a world, set primarily in the DC, though they couldn't say that because DC didn't want a world run by villains, where every hero is ether dead or had forced amnesia put upon them. Now Wesley was not in that original coup back in the 80's but he did travel to other dimensions to combat, kill and get trophies from superheroes. So rather then writing him off as oh sure Batman has faced worse, sure Batman has taken on the likes of Croc, Ivy, or even Superman, but this is a generation of villains who have beaten all of the DC universe.
So where as Batman could possibly take Riddick, It would be a game of cat and mouse between him and Wesley. The overall winner means nothing to me, but the game would be fun to read. By the way, Batman is a detective, Wesley is a damn good assassin with the same exact forsight as Batman if not greater.

... Chuck Norris vs. Mr. T. That would be epic. What was that movie that Sylvester Stallone did with like eighty action film starts a few months ago? I'm surprised that Chuck or Mr. T wasn't in that one, or were they. I never actually seen that movie. The promo's always sucked too bad. They always put the best stuff in the promo's, and if the promo's suck then you know that the very best parts of the movie sucks.

My original response was: "All the battles they've already done where the outcome felt like a sham."
...but then I remembered that two people really CAN fight multiple times with different victors on different occasions.

Batman vs Wolverine, all out. Batman (unlimited prep time) vs Superman (no restraint) Batman in both those fights, 9 times out of ten.

Is it just me, or do Bats and Lex Luthor (Especially Lex) seem to have enough kryptonite around them?

Yeah, plus writers always write stories so that batman always inevidably comes out on top. So, it doesn't really matter which character you throw at Batman, because he will always inevidably win. They've done allot of crossovers with batman like batman vs preditor, alien, spawn, and so on. These gimicks are just for batman to have more people to beat up.
Superman or any other character would ultimately lose in the end because he's an icon, and probably the most popular character in DC. I'm not completely sure who pushes more merchandise Batman or Superman, due to the fact there hasn't been a batman tv show that wasn't animated in years. Whenever you have a character like that the writers can use the character to beat any other character they come accross, because they just have to think of a half decent plan for Batman.
We've all seen Superman lose to Batman, and the only time Superman came close to truely beating batman I beleive a Phantom Zone criminal was controling him. That time Superman/Phantom wasn't holding back, and Batman inevitably beat him.
That battle was pretty much just to show fans what would happen in an all out fight between The two, because unless one of them was turned evil both would hold back.
So, being a flag ship character the writers wouldn't let him lose any battle.

^That's a lot of the meta-reasoning, true, however, Batman has lost battles, and like Marvel's magically unbeatable character (Hulk) eventually it will become ridiculous enough that they'll have to bring up someone to defeat him because then it will be a foregone conclusion that he'll win, and it will be boring.
The real reason, imho, is that it's more fun to have a 'human' character outsmart a superhuman character. Superman punches Batman into the sun is boring. Batman bringing out kryptonite and hitting superman with the city's power grid and X and Y and Z and... it's enough to fill 22 pages, y'know?
Batman's Icon status just ensures that it happens a LOT.

I wonder how a battle between Namor and Hydroman would work. One is water, and the other is the king of the sea.
