Are they coming out in September, or are they the September issues?

Same here, but this year I'm gonna have an answer ready for those annoying family members who're always trying to buy me birthday presents: DC subscription please! In case it sucks. Then I won't e spending any money on it. Clever, huh? So what titles are you guys thinking about?

Not sure on that WK. I figured I'd pop into the local comic shop mid-July (to check it out), and ask then.
I'll flip through the first issues. If the Bat titles look good, those for sure. Possibly GL/GL Corps... and MAYBE the Titans. I'll let the art speak to me ;-)

I'll check out Superman, Batman, Justice League, and possibly Green Lantern. I'm honestly not a huge fan of the modern re-interpretation of Hal Jordan as an anti-authoritarian rebel, and I'm pretty sure they'll stick with that for the reboot

That actually wants me to go out and by comic books. I wonder if Geeks will sell them? Also, Geeks is the name of an actual store. It is where I got my Marvel Universe RPG books from.

When I was in high school one of my gaming buddies and I dreamt of having a role-playing/comic book store, and Geeks was high on our list of potential names. I'm not surprised somebody used it.

Hahaha. That video was pretty funny.
I actually picked up some Red Robin sutff, and sort of liked it. Kind of bummed that he's lumped in with Teen Titans (as opposed to, I don't know... his own title), but I may give it a try. Still haven't decided if I'm buying into this relaunch crap or not though.

Literally nothing mentioned in that entire ad sounded good to me. Nothing.

Um, it was a spoof Ted...geeze... Tedd. Two "d"s And I get that it was a spoof, but what in it was inaccurate? From what I've read, everything he said was factual... so I say again... nothing about that sounded even remotely good.

Feels like the Ultimates universe all over again, which just felt like hearing one of your friends tell you a story that you originally told them, only they somehow managed to get half of it wrong.
There is something to be said for actual new beginnings. New characters, new settings, new storylines. That's why I'm psyched for the new Airbender show, and not any of this reboot crap.
EDIT: I guess its nice for people who are maybe into comics after seeing a bunch of good comic book movies, but don't know where else to jump on. But I'm not sure there's even enough of a market for that.

Well I’m officially out of monthly comics. I only read a handful of DC books toward the end and they’re mostly gone now. Plus the architects of the new DCU are the same people that messed up the old DCU.
(I will admit that I’ll probably read the collections for Grant Morrison’s Action Comics … but it will probably be a least a year before they get six issues out of him and another two before the trade comes out so I’m still done for the near future)
