I've seen the Mario Bros Z series, it was in fact exactly what I was referring to... I just can't imagine Metal Sonic half as powerful as in these videos (although it is nice to see that most of the time, it is Shadow who saves everybody else's collective butt .... Shadow rules!). In fact, I wouldn't even allow robots or other non-living beings to beneficiate from the emeralds except for the energy regeneration, but that's just me. If he could mimic others abilities, I beleive it would make him far too much powerful for all he's worth. (Copy Ability/Action/Modifier is one of the most powerful powers in all the Marvel game! ^^ Go Mimic, go!) As for the Spin Dash, most excellent idea. I was thinking about it today at my job and wondering how I could not have thought about it earlier. I would put it at 2 with the Speed Bonus, it would be far enough.

I gave it to him at 3 so he'd be able to rip through light metal, a.k.a. Robotnik's goons. But he does have to take a Panel for preparation, which everyone had to do in the games anyway to really gain speed.
And I'd let any creature with organic tissue, living or otherwise, to make use of the full strength of the emeralds.

As they did in the original story anyway. But you don't need to give him 3 to rip through light metal, because he can add his Speed bonus. It's enough to pass through reinforced plated metal if he wished to...

Let's see...I think that might actually be it for him...not sure. I could maybe add the Flame Ring from Adventure 2 to his Equipment list. Just a basic Fire Mastery item, I guess.

I don't know Adventure 2 enough. Your call here, mate.

Just screwin' around with his boots...like you said, his speed should be at just 7. So I put his boots under the equipment list. Not quite sure why I decided to make them Flight-capable; just seemed like a good idea at the time.

Actually, I really like the idea! Shadow's boots do seem to allow him to flight for a short moment. I ain't sure if they did or if he was simply running so fast that he jumped so high it took quite a while to drop back on ground, but this limited flight ability seems great.

Hey guys? Why don't you Co-GM a Sonic the Hedgehog RP... I'd Join, although a note on the Chaos Emeralds...
They don't increase just Speed and Speed based abilities, they actually increase what makes you special. Like Knucles, if he's Super Knuckles has a Strength of like 9 if he's Hyper Knuckles his strength is bordering the Hulk. Basically Super Brings your highest statistic to 9, and then Hyper would bring it to 10. They would also increase any modifiers you have to like double. You would have Immunity to damage, but you would loose 1 energy every panel unless you got a power ring which would refill 1 energy to you. The more power rings the more energy returned. So basically it goes like this...
Wolverine (I loved that example) Gets seven Chaos emeralds, his hair turns blue, and he gets massive getting a durability of 9. His claws would go from +3 to +6 and his Accelerated Healing Factor would become Enhanced and he gains a modifier that read "All Damage = Stun Only" meaning that any damage done to him would be a Stun Damage. He would Gain a +12 Pool of Energy (I liked that idea) making his energy 39. He would loose 1 per panel, and when he dropped to 0 he would turn back to Regular Wolverine with full health and energy.
I think that's a pretty fair assessment of a Super form...
If Wolverine managed to get the Super Emeralds, everything would double as Marvel intended... He would have a Durability of 10, his claws would be +7, his Healing factor would go to Instant and his energy pool would gain +24 stones (because the Super Emeralds count as emeralds too) so he would have 54 energy, a truly unstoppable beast.

dionon- Umm, Damage=Stun only? No thanks, Id rather take damage and heal it later than stay in coma for few turns. And Wolverine is a bad example, though funny. Maybe there will be an issue "What if Marvel Heroes aquired Chaos Emeralds?" ... I so DONT WANT to see Hyper Sentry!
Sonic RP however... Well, might give it a shot, but we need some good pair of GM's (if co-op) to make a good story. Remember, Sonic games are all about Speed (the good ones, not the shitty games with Sonic name), and how hard is that? On the other hand, if we make something like Sonic Battle (I loved that game, somehow), then its the other idea.

I was considering that. I might make a CAD for Tails next; he seems like an interesting character. An inventor with Flight...I wonder if I could squeeze him in at 40 stones?

playah: The reason I said Damage = Stun only (which takes stones away from your energy pool, it doesnt' make put you in a coma), is because if Power rings give you 1 point of energy each, it works perfectly because in Sonic the hedgehog, damage that gets through everything takes a small amount off your ring count IE your Energy... get it?

Ok then, my bad. I agree then :] Got it confused. You shouldve said "Damage in Red stones first, then stun" , or else people might get a wrong idea (like me). And I remember Sonic games fairly well, those were my times. Especiall Adventure 2 on Deamcast... a fine game it was, indeed, probably the last good Sonic (except Advance series and Battle, the rest was a bit... bad)

Sonic Heroes was cool at first, but before reaching the middle of the story I got bored and pissed. As for the rest, I also havent played, but the reviews and gameplay movies werent to my liking.
I wanted to make a CAD for Sonic characters as well, but I didnt. I already had a pretty good idea how to make Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Cream and even Chaotix Team.

We didn't say it increased only Speed and abilities based on it, it's simply that any being powered by the Seven Emeralds, in the games or elsewhere, is supposed to be able to fly. So in Super Knuckles form, he would gain a Flight Speed of 9 as well. As for the abilities, there would be an increase in all physical abilities, rendering you better in what you're not great at, and indeed better at what you already do (as Wolvie would say). So if we make Knuckles Strength at, say, 7, he would have 9 by finding all Seven Chaos Emeralds, and 11 with the Super Emeralds. If we did that with a fixed number of 9 and 10, anyone already as high or higher than that (as the Thing with his Strength of 9 and Hulk with 10) would gain absolutely nothing in their abilities for their trouble. Of course, I know there's not supposed to be a Hulk or Thing in Sonic, but I'm making these emeralds to be used not only in a Sonic game... Agreed with that.
