Name: Proton Pack
Description: The workhorse of the franchise, designed by Egon Spengler & Ray Stantz, the proton pack can best be described as an unlicensed man portable particle accelerator. The pack creates a charge particle beam composed of protons fired from a neutrona wand it functions by colliding high energy positrons to create a beam. The beam allows a Ghostbuster to contain and hold "negatively charged ectoplasmic entities". This containment ability allows the wielder to position a ghost above a trap for capture. As to why it is so effective against ghost it should be noted that due to the composition of the streams the energy can weaken the Psychokinetic energy (PKE) which ghost use to manifest them resulting in a ghost becoming weaker. Warning: It should be noted that you should never cross the streams, it would be VERY BAD! Initially it was believed that by crossing the streams you would cause a total protonic reversal, try to imagine all life as you know it stopping instantaneously and every molecule in your body exploding at the speed of light. However it has since been discovered that this is not the case, it results in an explosion of almost nuclear force…not a protonic reversal but it’s highly doubtful that you’ll survive it. Commonly referred to as the “Gozar Gambit” this should only be used as a last resort against a Spectral entity of such magnitude that nothing else could do significant damage against it…or to close a portal to another dimension.

Name: Ecto-1b
Description: The primary mode of transportation for the Ghostbusters, a modified 1959 Cadillac with an end loader modification. The original model could hold 4 people, max 6 under extreme circumstances; however, the new model now easily houses 8 people and a full assortment of equipment along with heightened detection equipment and a LED screen for advertisement purposes.

Name: PKE Meter
Description: A detection Tool used to locate and analyze composition of PKE in an area, used primarily to locate ghost and other entities of Psychokinetic structure. It functions similar to a metaphysical dowsing rod in that its indicator will detect the number, strength, general direction of a ghost. It should be warned that a PKE meter is subject to interference just like any other detection equipment if a PKE signal is too strong in an area.

Description: Another detection tool utilized by the guys in grey, the Ecto Goggles allows them to see ghost that are normally invisible to the naked human eye. When used in tandem with the PKE meter can allow an individual to be able to better look for ghost.

Name: Muon Trap [Ghost Trap]
Description: Ghost Trap: The most important device in the Ghostbusters’ arsenal, without which they could do nothing but chase them around with proton packs. The ghost trap operates on a button operation system that when activated opens the trap and sucks a ghost into for containment. Recently it has been discussed if a new wireless trap can be constructed; unfortunately it would not have the significant capture power of the original so they haven’t seen much progress in constructing one. Fortunately the original model is still good; with wheels mounted on the bottom a Ghostbuster can easily slide the trap into position from 10’ away.
Mechanics: Ghost caught in the area of the trap is subject to Drain Energy, a ghost caught in the field with no energy will be automatically pulled into the trap. The storage property of the trap is that it’s a one use item, once it needs to be cleaned before it can be used again. If the trap is destroyed or significantly damaged, all ghosts contained will escape.

Description:Sure, with all these high tech toys, you may be wondering…what’s so great about a uniform? Honestly ask anyone whose got to wear one, it’s usually full of both complains and such, but for a Ghostbuster it’s one of the most important tools you’ll use & abuse. Ghost busting is not a clean job, it’s messy, it’s ugly, and you’ll cringe at your dry cleaning bill, but just imagine if you didn’t have the grey uniform. All are fire retardant and capable of offering some form of protection though not much.
