Tom was a member of a non disclosed government agency in the US. He was one of thier best agents and always completed his missions with decent efficiency. One day as Tom was debriefing from a mission, he recieved a call from his sister. His younger brother, Bruce Jenkins an agent with a other Institute, had been killed in the line of duty. The agency tried to investigate the incident but were unable to find sufficient clues. All they know is that a very powerful crime family was involved and when individual agents who were friends with Bruce tried to investigate the homicide, the director shut them down. Taking a leave of absence, Tom decided to investigate on his own. After several months, Tom discovered that the case his brother had been working on was tied to national security interests. Further investigation led Tom outside of the United States into Yemen were he discovered the terrorist group Ali bali riod. According to his sources, the terrorist group had already launched an attack on the US during the same month that Bruce was killed and were planning to carry out another attack soon. Tom sprung into action a took on the terrorist by himself and despite his abilities was almost killed. As he lay on the desert sands watching the missles come toward his location, he saw his life flash before his eyes, then the explosion. Jenkins awoke with a monster headache and with powers he never new he had. The explosion awoke the latent mutant powers and he knew what he must do. Tom abandoned the agency for a more job with more freedom, he became a mercenary. Tom now spends his time searching for the head of the group responsible for his brothers death. Tom has a strong sense of justice but is not afraid to get his hands dirty. He doesn't waste time with idle chatter, he gets his jobs done in haste. He will let nothing stop him from his vengence.

The legend start here, There was once a nameless god who started a war with the greek gods. The catalyst for this war was of course a woman. This womans name was Alicia and was said to be a beauty that rivaled the goddess of love. Ares was taken with Alicia's beauty and Kidnapped her to be his wife. The nameless warrior asaulted the gods for her return and in response was struck down. They stripped him of all but a few of his powers and killed Alicia. They trapped him in the same hole of reality that they kept the legendary Titans. While in they pocket of reality, the warrior gave himself a name, Lament. Lament swore vengence on the gods of Athens for the death of Alicia, he swore that he would not be satified until the all died by his hand. 1400 years later, the pocket where Lament was imprisoned, began to touch this reality. Small pockets of the outside world began to leak into the prison. and Lament squeezed out of his temporal prison. The world he knew was gone, greece was no longer a major power in the world and the mortals no longer worshiped the gods as they used to. That did not stop the fury that was in his heart. Always the impulsive one, Lament began to make his way to the Mount of the gods. When he arrived he found that they had seperated themselves from mortal reach. Hundreds of years passed as Lament looked for a way to reach the gods he so hated. He only has 4 of his original powers: his immortality and regenerative capacity, his strength, and his ability to infused energy into objects. Originally he could infuse objects wiith life and they would do his bidding, but now the best he can do is make them explode after a time. At the current time he continues to search for a way to get vengence on the gods, even though he will have to confront his one time friend, Hercules. Lament tends to lose his temper alot and his manners have slipped in the millenia that he was inprisoned. He doesn't consider himself a hero, just a man who feels that the gods could use a good smack. Morality is lost on him when it comes to the things he feels he must accomplish.

A single drop of rain can be life changing. In New Jersey there was a rain storm that a certain woman was unlucky enough to be caught in. She never saw the first drop of rain fall into her glass of water as she sat outside at a Nathan's hot dog shop on the turnpike. But like most people who are pre ocuppied, she sipped at her water, never knowing that the water she drank could alter the baby's DNA growing inside her body. That child continued to develop full term and was born Mute. The child was named Max and boy did he have it tough. His mother was a full time spy and she taught him all she could of what he needed to survive. While off duty he and his mother were walking down the street in New York and was sprayed with a strong current of water. Spider man and Hydro man were duking it out in the street. Hydro man took his mother as a hostage and threatened to kill her if Spider man didn't back down, Max in a fight or flight mode tried to save his mother, he unknowingly triggered a part of his altered DNA. A stream of high powered water came from his hand and shot at Hydro man. The water hit was of course absorbed into Hydro man's chest. The villan was dumbfounded as the child repeatedly shot water at him, Spider man used the opportunity to rescue his mother. The villan shouted out loud as Spider man shot his modified webbing at Hydro man penetrating and somehow solidified the villan. Before Hydro man lost all his movement, he blasted Max's mother into the street where a oncoming bus struck and killed her instantly. Spider man made sure to drop the kid off at the police station. While at the police station Max sat quietly as Spider man attempted to explain the situation to the authorities. Child protective services arrived and examined the boy to see if something was wrong, as the child could not talk. They deduced based on Spider man's testimony that he was a mutant and needed to be taken to a safe place. Social services attmepted to enroll him in Prof. X's school. Max had no choice but to stay there and master the abilities he had so that he could live in normal society. Max became bitter over the years, and has tried to put the past behind him, but one thought kept cycling in his head. Why couldn't Spider man save his mother,why did someone with so much power allow his mother to die. Prof X tried to counsel Max to heal the pain but he refused to let go of it. In Max's mind he came to his own conclusion,"Power gives you the right to do what you want, you can be a victim or a Lion, and I choose the lion." Upon graduating Prof X's school, Max started his life with a chip on his shoulder and a distain of the law. He stole to survive and was used his abilities for selfish gain, until he was caught in the act by Spider Man. Seeing Spideys face caused him to lash out immedietly, spraying Spider Man with high power water attacks. Spider Man dodged and retiliated by slamming him with web power bags of cement mix, "Just add water and bingo.." Spiderman said. As Max was drying in cement Spiderman shook his head and said.." You should really rethink your profession." Max was furious that he couldn't get his revenge on the man he felt allowed his mother to die. Max did some Juvy time a special jail and was let out for good behavior with the threat of real time if he didn't work with a special group of super powered folk.
