Seriously... I'm getting REALLY sick of this.
Every time I try to create a really interesting fight scene. You guys put a rediculous amount of stones in defense making everything my enemies do utterly pointless.
Do you have any idea how frustrating this is. I can't hurt any of you by playing by the rules. I have to either beef up the NPCs or just ignore the stones altogether.

Hey Meph? That's not how Power Level works for that function. You would have to spend one of your already active actions to gain more actions, thus to gain an extra action in a round, you would have to spend 2 stones into Power Level.

Actually, she's using my house rule of that modifier. Since it's a modifier, not an action, and we consider we should be able to still get an additional action at MN 1 (which we couldn't if one had to pay 2 stones in it to gain a new action), we changed it a bit. No offense, but I honestly believe that's how it should work. I admire you for creating it, but that's how we use it and how we built the CADs.

Hmm... Alright, I guess that means it's up to Ultrasoldier to decide how to work it then. I didn't even know you changed my Power Level rules for your house rules lol.

Gig: Yeah well you're not GMing this game. I am, and I say Dionon's rule on Power Level applies here.

I have to either beef up the NPCs or just ignore the stones altogether. Why is it such a big problem exactly, Ultra? Is it so much fun to you to get the main characters hurt? With all due respect, if we didn't think of your fight scenes as interesting, we wouldn't be here. Thing is, while sometimes it can be interesting to get hurt in such a fight, no one in their right mind would actively seek to get hurt in a fight, and that is precisely why we are putting stones in defense... Because our characters don't want to get hurt. Not using stones in defense would be bad roleplaying, right? Your fights ARE awesome. We don't have to get hurt to like them. If we do get hurt, well so be it. But it's not a necessity for a fight to be interesting.

It just makes the game feel broken if I can't actually give you a challange.

Gig: Yeah well you're not GMing this game. I am, and I say Dionon's rule on Power Level applies here. Three things to say to that... One, I was saying this because that's what was written on the CADs when we sent them to you and you accepted it, not because I claim to be holding the power of the GM here. Two, I will change it since it's that important to you. Three, please cool down the aggressive factor. I am not guilty of anything here, I was just explaining why we did it the way we did it.

It just makes the game feel broken if I can't actually give you a challange. We like your game because we can play any characters we want and because your games are original and always full of surprises, not for the challenges. If we wanted challenges, we'd play a game of normal humans trying to survive in Marvel Zombies...
