As some of you may know I am creating a Fantastic Four book: The Unoffical Fantastic Four's Guide to the Universe. This will include 40+ Character Profiles, information on the Humans and Groups in the Fantastic Four's life, information on Cosmic Beings, a Team Generator, including many Alien Character Profiles, a Planet Generator, including many specific Profiles on Planets visited by Marvel Super Heroes, Adventure Briefings on many locations including: the Baxter Building, Atlantis, Latveria, Subterreanea and Wakanda, and last, but not least a new adventure.
However I need help. I need writers, and people knowledgable about PDFs and Web Design. Specifically I need someone's help to create a Web-Site for the project.

I'm not someone who could help you with any of that, but, I could tell you that you should post this on one of the forums at the top so more people can read it.

The yahoo group devoted to the FFGuide doesn't seem active, so i post my suggestions here. I think that a FF guide should contain (but is not limited to) stats/background info for this various entries: Various friends and foes - Stingray - Guardsman - Watcher - Adam Warlock - Darkoth - Diablo - Dragon Man - Mephisto - Mole Man - Psycho Man - Red Ghost - Puppet Master - Mad Thinker - Thanos - Impossible Man - Molecile Man Inhumans - Black Bolt - Gorgon - Karnak - Lockjaw - Maximus - Medusa - Triton Atlanteans - Attuma - Warlord Krang The world eater - Galactus - Airwalker - Firelord - Terrax Skrulls Frightfull Four - Wingless Wizard - Trapster - Thundra Negative zone - Annihilus - Blastaar Microverse Subterranea Baxter Building Four Freedom Plaza Hydrobase Reed Richards' Vehicules and other devices Several of them can already be found here: www.sachau.net/murpg/profile.html

I have web design skills (I aced my web design final last year), but I'm a tad busy to do all the web design aspects. I'll either need a partner or two, or a lot of time. Thankfully, since these fan-supplements are free and designed by people during their spare time, I think people understand pretty well.
I've been working on a web template that looks like the character profiles we see in the official books, but It's going to take a while. After finishing web design class last year, I left my textbook (a VERY valuable resource) at home.
In the meantime, let me know if anyone would be willing to partner with me on the web design front.

The yahoo group devoted to the FFGuide doesn't seem active, That’s surprising. I was booted from the Wolverine group for not posting within a few days of signing up and I would have figured the F4 group would have taken a similar “post or die” stance to encourage constant contributions Already has stats. Check Crystal’s bio. Or on this site right here. Heck, I remember trying to put together a bio for Stingray just a few months back… murpg.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=Hero&action=display&thread=1138892282…but I wasn’t familiar enough with the character to be certain of its accuracy and no one ever bothered to make any suggestions on it.

Well, we can maybe split the characters between us ? I have already written the frightfull four and i am currently writing a set of rules around the Inventing Action (and expanding the rules for weapons/power armor/vehicles creation). I like very much the inhuman and that's probably what i will do next.

maybe we can find or come together with resources and make a map of the marvel version of NYC as well since it was supposed to be in the official spidey book that got scrapped...and it would be a great resource

I had been considering making "Friends and Foes of the Fantastic Four." Something clicked over in my mind, and I remembered that someone else already mentioned a fan-made FF guide. I would be willing to offer some help in almost any area. Web Design, Character Generation, making new actions, or even attempting to coordinate people through the wonders of the internet. And I really think to complete a project like this we'd need several people, and a lot of organization. PMs, IMs, E-mails, maybe our own boards, and probably regular status updates. If you still want to make this guide a reality, PM me. I've had some ideas for other things to include in such a guide. - Supplemental rules for use of Power Cosmic
- An Inhumans Family Tree
- Karnak's Weakness Analyzation ability
So, what's happened with this idea in the past 6 months? Anything?

From what I've heard it fell of the face of the earth. Maybe now that Spiderman's Guide to New York is nearly done, it will be picked up again.

I've been slowly working on this for a while. I've got several character profiles and some team profiles as well. I agree that we need several people and organization to do it. I know next to nothing of web design, for instance, so I need some help.

Characters alone don't make for a guide. (That said, I've worked on some write-ups for the Inhumans, including Karnak, Black Bolt, and Medusa. Additionally, I'd like to see all the Heralds of Galactus in there, excepting the Silver Surfer, of course.) What have we got for new actions, modifiers, or supplemental rules & clarifications? Also, once we round up a good team, we really need to communicate.
I've been working on an XHTML template for the characters, but so far it's been nothing but pain. I really need a better resource than the websites I've found. I also need to get my mitts on a tool for making and/or converting and/or editing pdf files. Just further proof that we need a lot more people.
What would be really great is if we could at least get something off the ground around the same time as the release of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. Even just a page would nice.
I think one of the major problems will be making descriptions for all the characters, places, and all of that. I'm good enough with writing, but I highly doubt I'm knowledgeable enough about any of the characters or locations to produce quality descriptions. However, I would volunteer to edit anything and everything!! After all, proofreading is fun for me.
EDIT: After a brief break, I have returned to the HTML, and made very significant progress. However, much remains to be done, including matching colors and fonts. I may be able to get it nearly perfect by the end of next week!

As for making PDF's, Open Office is good for that, and free to boot.
