Lacus Zeref Clyne
Lacus witnessed the poor girl's expulsion with a clear disgust for the bouncer's attitude. Had this poor young woman been the worst bard in history, no one had the right to treat a girl like that, regardless of the reasons. And what man could truly make a girl cry so without regret and still call themselves a man?
-Jerk..., she mumbled as she ran past the café, attempting to catch up with the redhead, picking up her shoe as she did:
-...Wait! Miss, please, wait a moment! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6 stones into Acrobatics; 4 to run at Speed 4 trying to catch up with her, 2 to pick up the shoe as I go;
5 stones into Statecraft (Noble, Diplomacy) +3 from Attractive, to ask the girl to wait and not run away.

You find the young lady behind a back ally knees hugged up to her chest crying.

Lacus Zeref Clyne
-......
Lacus slowed down to a walk as she approached the girl, putting Piplup down gently as she sat down next to the girl, putting the shoe down and her arms around her shoulders.
-There... there, it's over. My name is Lacus... this is Piplup. What is your name? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 8 stones into Psychiatry (Compassion, Reach out to others) plus 3 from Attractive, to try and comfort the girl.

"Marika." The girl whispers. "I'm a Bard... I left my home to study for two years at the Bards college, I ended up coming here to make aliving earning my craft, but... No one wants to hear silly folk songs." She said. "All my hard work, all the sacrifices I made were for nothing."

Lacus Zeref Clyne
-.....Say what, now?
If Marika looked up at Lacus, she'd notice how her compassionate look from a moment ago was now one of mixed anger and disgust at the events she had just been informed of.
-...What you are telling me here... is that these men actually broke your instrument... they insulted you... they physically assaulted you... they threw you out of a public area... because they don't want to hear your kind of music?
She closed her eyes, letting go of the girl, as she breathed slowly to hold in the rage building inside her. If Zeref had been Zeref, she was fairly sure the men would already be dead, or at least badly hurt. But she wanted to calm down... to help this girl, and teach the men a lesson. Maybe not necessarily involving their gruesome death, as Zeref's side seemed to strongly feel like doing.
-...Those heartless... miscreants.... was the best she managed to say without resorting to much cruder insults. She was clearly still angry at them, but she seemed... less enraged and more in control. Allow me...?, she asked softly, her hand gently taking the broken lute from the girl if she allowed it, holding it in her hands as she used a Living Magic spell to repair it with a slightly glowing white light.
-I'm sure it can't be that bad. Would you sing me something, if you please? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 stone into Living Magic, plus 5 from Legendary Wizard, all into fixing the lute by shaping the lute back to its original shape.
6 stones into Statecraft (Noble, Diplomacy) plus 3 from Attractive; to try and get her to sing for me, if only to see if she's really bad or if it's just those men being a-holes.

Marika starts to calm down. As she begins to sing. It's a song about a hero from another land known as the Dragonborn, and how he will one day save the world from the Dragon Alduin with a power known as the way of the voice. Her singing is good, but little compared to your own voice, and her skill with the lute isn't exactly epic guitar solo worthy, but it all works for what it is. She's got talent for the craft of singing.

Lacus nodded, having seemingly confirmed what she suspected.
-...See? This, this is what I mean. You have talent, a pretty voice, and your lute playing is more than adequate. Those ruffians have no right to throw you out so! I've half a mind to go in there and teach them a lesson.
She paused, her tone less aggressive:
-...By the way... magic hardly seems to faze you. I usually a... more noticeable reaction than yours just now when using it. Not the first time you've seen a mage? ...Or are you a mage yoursefl?

"No... It's just... I was born in a place called Britannia where magic didn't exist. However I later ended up living in a place called Tamriel where magic was abundant. I never learned it myself, however I did study for 2 years at the Bard's College in a city called Solitude. Somehow, I'm not sure, but I ended up taking a ship to Fiore, and I've been trying to find some steady work in town." She says slipping her shoe back on.

Lacus Zeref ClyneLacus nodded gravely, as she listened to her explanations. She tried to cheer her up a little, and help rebuild that self-esteem of hers those idiots had damaged. -I see. Well... I'm thinking you should probably try some other town. I've just been here myself, and in a matter of minutes, I've fought off heartless thugs beating this cute little Piplup up for no reason other than because they could, and then I see you getting thrown out this café because the... "locals", to put it politely, can't appreciate something different, something fresh, for once. This town doesn't deserve you and your talent, if you ask me, even if they were smart enough to recognize its worth. She smiled. -I'm sure a more friendly town, somewhere, will be glad of having a pretty girl like you sing and play the lute for them. All you need is keep looking. And maybe hire a bodyguard to protect you from such... displays of ignorance and abuse.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 6 stones into Psychiatry (Compassion, Reach out to others, Idealism) plus 3 from Attractive, to try and convince her to not give up and look for a more friendly and less moronic town to work in.

"Okay..." Marika says a bit downtrodden. "Is it alright if I hang out with you? I mean at least as long as we're both in the same town. I'm fairly new here myselkf, and I don't know anybody."
"Piplup!" he chirps apparently attempting to answer for you.

Lacus Zeref Clyne
-Oh! Um..., the pinkette began, seemingly surprised. Zeref had never been used to company, while Lacus had mostly been met with fear or at lest distrust from non-mages who learned of her powers before.
-In all honesty... I'll tell you what I told Piplup here. As you know, I'm a mage, and... you probably guessed, repairing broken musical instruments isn't my... signature magic. I am a bit dangerous to be around, and I don't want people to get hurt. Of course, I will not hurt anyone unless it is necessary, but... I'm just a bit afraid of losing control. That being said... I do would enjoy the company, and you're a nice person. I'll... leave it to you whether you really want to come with, but if you do, you must promise me you'll run away from me, immediately, if I tell you to.

Lacus Zeref Clyne
-I doubt that I will, she responded kindly, enjoying the company already. Well, how about we look for a... more welcoming establishment, where they treat their guests right and their bards with the respect they deserve? I could use a meal.
She stood up, offering her a helping hand at doing so herself.
-Say, perhaps you could help me... I'm looking for wrongs to right, and people to help, in the area. Perhaps have you heard of some such possibilities? ...And to be honest, I still haven't ruled out the idea of teaching those fools back there a lesson they will not soon forget. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ 1 stone into Strength to help her up.

Marika thinks carefully. "Well I heard rumors about some other thugs who've been trying to scare some of the local homeless out of town to raise property values."
"Piplup! Piplup lup lup Piplup Lup lup!" It throws a fit. Clearly he's outraged.

Lacus Zeref Clyne
"My, such a wonderful town, with so much mutual aid, good-neighbor support and cooperation. Sigh", Lacus let out. Sometimes it was hard to find reasons not to give in to Zeref's anger. "Alright then... I intend to go and see things out for myself. While I aim to try and find a non-violent way to take care of this problem, you probably can guess we might encounter trouble if we do meddle in this. So... do you know how to defend yourself if necessary? ...Because otherwise, I'd rather not put you in danger."
