I am thinking of a Game with which I will need lots of advice. First, I would be looking for at LEAST one added Watcher for the purposes of helping me with logistics. Second, if anyone (hopefully) is interested they would need to pick a (most likely desired) Original X-Man (now) OR (maybe) one of the fan fiction characters, members of Secre-X. More info. I know is needed so here goes:
We all know the story of the five (Original) X-Men. Jean Grey, the first X-Student, Cyclopes, the first actual X-Man, Beast, Angel & Ice-Man, then Marvel Girl (I believe in that order) . "Professor X" recruited these teen-agers to be his LEAD Super-Normal Mutants' Rights Team/Normal Human Protectors. In the fan fiction behind the game, Secre-X was Charles Xavier's second team. They were recruited from an African-American (black) G/B Male group therapy cabal. The Lead Psychiatrist of the Mental Health Clinic created the covert cabal to aide the minority mutants specifically with special needs Normal Humans didn't --- well, need. The Caucasian (German) owner of the clinic, apparently an associate of "Professor X," told him they with help these secret Mutants could be his Secondary, necessary X'ers. Charles recruited --- okay, a big reveal. I love writing fan fiction & usually one method (some would say ab nasium, bad spelling) is to make a self-insert Avatar, even if the character is not used --- where would I be in this fictional realm --- then I create characters that would be around him (( family, friends, love interests, enemies, relations with canon characters, etc.)) . I am going to need to reveal certain relevant facts that I normally only allude to about myself, but since I love this idea & I said I needed help so. Back to the story: "Al" was the third "X-Student," for some undisclosed reason he was sought before the other three members of the team directly brought to the X-Mansion. He & Cyclopes didn't get along frankly. He was kind-hearted, but SECRE-Tive & Stubborn. Cyclopes, unusually basically told the Professor he wasn't X-Man material (& he was right) . "Al" disappeared from the X-Mansion almost as soon as he arrived. He wasn't missed by Scott. At any rate, the other three members of "Secre-X" was brought to the secondary X-Base/HQ (Indigo, Core-Rage & Ashanti Jay-Lyn Constantine. The reason Secre-X was created was to do the dirty work that Professor X didn't want traced to the official X-Man team. Certain, Acts, were necessary to insure Mutant Survival, you had to "crack a few eggs." For two years, both teams functioned as capable parts of the X-Structure, Secre-X a big secret however, even from the Originals, mentored by Emperor, the teaching asst. of the X-Teams. One day however the worse happened: Secre-X was discovered, the Originals, of course. Not knowing Charles was behind their creation all along they felt these Secre-X guys were the worst thing that could happen to Xavier's dream. "Professor X" hated ultimately to aide their defeat, but finally agreed they out-lived their usefulness. He led them as necessary by decisive means. The battle was glorious, but the ending was horrifying --- for Secre-X. Indigo was captured and turned over to Police. Magneto showed up mid-battle stole Core-Rage and flew them both away. Black Silver (Ashanti left early, undiscovered reason & Angel Girl II was killed during her stint on a very dangerous mission) went missing and was believed to be dead. "Al," I don't know his code-name yet, psionically-snuck away later hired by Charles occasionally as an X-Consultant when necessary, to Cyclopes' chagrin.

Cyclopes will be virtually-identical to his Data-File from the Core Book, except I think he deserves Psychic Resistance (d6) for this game. Does anyone still need me to write the Data-File?

--- "Professor X" barely-needed even a passive mind probe to realize "Alfonso" knew a lot more than he let on about Emma Frost's apparent demise, Jean Grey's near-fatality & the whole Fitzroy Attack . . . he demanded to know why didn't he alert the X-Teams to save Emma/the Hellions
--- ("Alfonso") told "Professor X" NOT to be so Surprised, that Charles helped create this "Secret" Monster, after all the bad things Xavier told him to do that ONE Dumb Blonde was not worth the life of his baby cousin, especially the Cousin Charles refused to rescue
--- Professor X & "Al" parted ways and rarely-talked face-to-face for years after that conversation

--- Eventually, they discovered that a Portal could be created that would send the New 3M-Powered, ("Brandon") replaced ("April") , to a New, Glorious, but Dangerous, Connecting Alien Dimension . . . to allow the Earth's continued Survival, they said good-bye and left
--- As a side-effect of the Portal, alongside a Doctor Strange ritual/spell, mostly everyone left behind would forget they were even ever born, the world's memory would be altered until they found a way to return home, then all forgotten would be remembered
--- Current-Day/Present-Tense: 17 yrs. after the "Fan 4's" debut, 2004 . . . they arrived home shortly before the story/game's start

I am thinking of changibng "Beast" slightly. I want to Step-Up his Medical Specialty to Master (d10) & Step-Down his Science/Tech both to Expert (d8) . What would you all out there think, especially if "Beast" will/maybe be chosen to be played.

This is a continuation of the explanation behind the potential game. Still very rough, but I hope it clarifies/further helps explain.
--- Four, 4 --- Charles Francis Xavier, Eric Lehnser, Moira MacTaggert & Pharaoh Prince --- of the most important people in the lives of Mutantdom . . . Three, 3 of them Mutants themselves ("Professor X," "Magneto" & "Emperor") & a Human Female Lover of Charles joined together to seek out "Jean Grey & Scott Summers." Miss Grey, the first-discovered potential Omega-Class Mutant (still needing lots of training/experience to reach that high-level) & Mister Summers, being the "best-est" most qualified recruit/student for an eventual field commander, became the first X-Student & first X-Man (respectively). Many including X-Men themselves know this history, but there is a part of that history (hidden) & obscure.
--- First came "Beast," the Normal-Human looking form he arrived at the X-Mansion with. "Beast," of course would be one of the first Original X-Men. Then came "Core-Rage." "Core-Rage," aka "David," would not be an X-Man, not an on-going one anyway. "David," the first Afro-American X-Student, came from Detroit, MI (MO-Town) during a trying time for that struggling city. His mutant strength & skin armor would prove a very important part of a second X-Team. Both X-Teams would have to be kept a closely-guarded secret at this stage of ops, but "Secre-X" more so than the "X-Men." The "X-Men" would protect Normal Humans from Mutants who would take advantage of their gifts, a lot of the time. That would not be the more covert "Secre-X's Mission." They would be perpetrators of Violence against Normal Humans for the sake of Mutant Agendas. Peace with "Normal-Humanity" could get Mutants so far.
--- Obviously for those in the know, "Angel & Ice Man" came next on the more well-known X-Team. "Indigo" & (the) "Mentalist" came next for the "Secre-X" team. "Professor X" realized interesting enough that the two were young, teen gay lovers. Not homo-phobic, his curiosity still was intrigued. "Core-Rage" was gay, as well. And "Indigo & the Mentalist" were black, as well. Professor X & party were not the only ones recruiting & recruiters often searched in patterns. Where was "Emperor" finding his people. ("Emperor" was a Secre-X recruiter & general X-Assistant --- all his people had to be Professor-approved.) Very ironically, a young group therapy circle. LGBT Rights during the mid-to-late 80s was in an infancy (public acceptance, anyway --- the fight had been going on for decades). The mental health community would accept young LGBT people who had to "come out," find jobs in anti-gay rights filled employment environments, walk down the streets w/o getting gay-bashed. "Pharaoh Prince" had money (as a name like that would indicate) & established a mental-health clinic, all who needed their services could receive them for free if they qualified. Included in this process, Pharaoh established a unique educational service for Gay/Bi-Sexual young black males, who qualified. They needed to be smart, resourceful, good manners, dedicated students. (Mutants.) (Now there were 3, then "Ashanti Constantine" joined --- now there were 4.)
--- "Jean Grey," the 1st X-Student, didn't join the X-Men until they needed a fifth emergency member. None of Secre-X were available (or appropriate), so "Marvel Girl" debuted. The five members faced their former teacher, he was co-Professor briefly, "Magneto." Cyclopes really was the one who finally defeated him. The others helped protect civilians, provide 5 targets instead of just one, but mainly were "window dressing." "Magneto" received an epiphany. Even HE needed help, so then came the "Brotherhood."
--- "Secre-X" had a first mission, as well. The "X-Men" fought "Magneto" on their first X-Mission because he commandeered a nuclear missile base & swore he would blow up what/who-soever to prove hi pro-mutant point. The X-Men stopped him, they ("Charles") were set up with pro-mutant government contacts & tech to aide them in their fight, but they still were trusted, but --- Secre-X re-commandeered the Base & released a missile that --- well, nuked a small city planning on invading a neighboring village that was very pro-mutant. The would-be Invaders hated Mutancy & it took them to their final resting place. "Secre-X" soon a menace no one could stop --- well, maybe the "X-Men." The "X-Men" gained more trust. Charles gained more tech & contacts, even allies.

Do any of you out there have any stats/data-files for the young Original X-Men? I am curious of what others' think of them, game mechanics.

The gist of this one-shot is:
the (Original) X-Men --- "Cyclops," "Beast" & "Ice-Man" know "Arch-Angel" is recently dead. Strong "evidence" lead them to believe Secre-X, all three remaining fully-revealed, are responsible. Another "unrelated" force transports them elsewhere & low-behold --- Secre-X.
Secre-X (the 3 remaining Survivors) --- "Core-Rage" (recently left in Command of the Brother-Hood by Magneto & Mystique) wants nothing of this contest at the moment. "Mind's Eye" (finally-revealed as the second-in-command when they met in their final battle) has just gotten back from extra-dimensional exile. A (now) rival, Ashanti Constantine just rejected as tie-breaker of a threesome Villainous org. he was named as replacement. His first trial/assignment, get "rid of" of Ashanti. (Of course the X-Men stand in his way.) Indigo sees the uselessness of both teams fighting & wish to talk both sides out of their anger, but no one EVER listens to him. (Then/now.)
Jean Grey is now dead, but her resurrected form is possibly at the HQ where Ashanti is currently being held/is captured. If they capture Ashanti, the X-Men may be able to reclaim Jean. Who will win? Does anyone win this battle even if one side wins?
