You fire your beam rifle into the suit's chest causing the reactor to go off destroying the suit completely leaving only a burning non-functional husk.

Lacus sighed, relieved tht the fight was over. That MS' cannons were frankly troublesome, and while the Justice was a powerful melee fighter and an excellent jack-of-all-trades, it didn't hold bem weapons as destructive as those.
Contacting the HQ, she said:
"Infinite Justice to HQ... the target has been eliminated. I repeat... target eliminated."

"...Huh?!" the pinkette let out in surprise, grabbing the object in surprise, blinking. Identifying it as a strange helmet seemingly made of gold, she raised an eyebrow, but quickly regained her composure.
"...Y-Yes, sorry. Over and out."
She put the helmet aside for the moment, piloting the MS back to the hotel then shrinking it back down, planning to investigate this new mystery after she was back.

After landing and shrinking back the Justice, Lacus headed back with the helmet in hand, observing it as she returned to her room where she had left Marika, searching Zeref's memories and knowledge about the occult for anything that might hint at the nature of this helmet, and her own memories of history to see if it rang a bell.

I... kinda have his helmet right here?" she said, still puzzled as to how and why it had happened in her lap like this.
