This game looks perfect for the archer character I've been working on. Unfortunately you already have an archer and I do not have access to the rules for this - not until after the October 5th anyways. If I can get a copy of the rules in time I will see what I can come up with. Maybe a knife/blade specialist or some sort of melee weapons expert.

The current Archer character is currently inactive, so feel free to create your own. I can also get you a preview copy of the rules, if you want.
lilithsboy: if you're interested, can also get you a preview.

Plenty of room for players (though, really, two more, two more--gets crazy after that).:-)

How hard is it to play for beginners?

EASY PEAZY! Primer:
It uses a step dice system (d4, d6, d8, d10 etc.)
You have Resistances, Skills and Powers. Resistances=your "hit points," and defense (only) Skills=non-super stuff your character can do (used for attack and defense). Powers=the stuff that sets you apart--can be used for attack and defense.
For tasks, the system has a difficulty scale, in which using a power over anything else makes you more capable of accomplishing the task.
When you want to do something, describe how you're doing it (appropriate skill(s), powers, etc.).
When in combat, if you attack with something, you can't defend with it in the same round
Some things stack: for example, Hawkeye is being chased by Hydra agents. They firing at him with pistols as he heads down an alleyway.
Player: "I whip out a cable arrow and lift myself to safety" (Uses Shooting plus Accuracy; rolls both, takes highest) GM: "Okay the agents take a couple shots at you. It's only minions so they roll d4. There are two of them, though, so you need a second defense." Player: "No problem. I'll use my Athletics skill to twist and turn as I rappel upward, presenting a tough, moving target."
Action resolution:
Minions d4MaXsMNPMd4 and d4 d4
Hawkeye defends against attack #1 with Accuracy d10 + Shooting d8 (take highest) d10, d8; he uses Athleticism d6 to dodge the second shot. d6
RESULT: GM: "OUCH! Hawkeye gets the shot off, and attempts to twist on the way up. The initial SIP (***SHOOSH***) up the cable lifted him high above the Hydra brutes very quickly. Unfortunately, he passes though a pool of light from a nearby street lamp. Minion #1 takes aim and pops Hawkeye right in the leg (1 dmg). Thankfully, by the time the second minion unloads his weapon, Hawks is leaping onto the safety of the roof, out of sight. The bullets ping harmlessly into the brick facade."
Player decides to take 1 point of Ego (emotional0 damage, rather than health, lowering it from d6 to d4. (it takes two hits from a skill to cause 1 point of damage [powers cause 1-for-1, cuz they're, well, powers!]
Players narrates the damage: "Tumbling onto the roof, Hawkeye curses his bad luck. 'That'll leave a mark,' he says, eyeing the tear in his costume, as well as the superficial wound from the brute's shot. 'Nicked by a hireling,' he shakes his head, 'How embarrassing.' The good news was, he was now above his enemies! Time to deliver some payback? Or should he beat feet back to HQ with the data he pilfered from the idiots?
And that's how it goes.d4d4d10d8d6

The system looks a lot like Supers!. Is there still openings?

Speaking as one of the players, as far as I know there are still openings. In fact we can have up to three characters to play...still can only play one at-a-time though.

Sheron: it's basically Supers! with step dice. Same designer actually. I just recruited a third player. A 4th wouldn't hurt. I hold everyone to one PC at a time though. It feels freaky to think of folks talking to themselves.:-)
