"And there came a day unlike any other when Earth’s mightiest heroes decided to open their doors to train the next generation to fight the foes no single hero could withstand, and on that day, the Avengers Academy was born!"The Avengers Academy is a program where veteran heroes help train young people with dangerous super-powers and damaged psyches to become valuable heroes. But when most of the established order of Avengers are lost containing an interdimensional catastrophe, the responsibility for training and guiding the next generation of heroes falls not to established veterans, but recent graduates from the Academy itself. Will these relative "newbies" be able to carry on the proud tradition of the Academy and rebuild the depleted ranks of Earth's Mightiest Heroes? Or will they find that acting as mentors to troubled teens with the power to level a city block is one thing that the Academy never prepared them for?
***
So I'm looking to start a new game that focuses on the Avengers Academy (a training facility for new superheroes) in the wake of a cosmic disaster where most of the Avengers roster ends up missing-in-action; you would be playing the new staff of the Academy who are all recent graduates in your own right, but now find yourselves being the most "experienced" available heroes left to mentor the new influx of trainees. I would be looking for original characters built using the normal 40 stones (plus a maximum of 10 more from challenges) with no real restrictions on the type of character other than you would need to be suitable for working with the Avengers, which allows for a pretty broad spectrum.
If anyone would be interested in playing this type of game, let me know. Thanks a lot!

I would be interested. I do have some questions though; are you using the rules straight from the books? which books are allowed? and any house rules?

Likewise. Knowing me? Something Asgardian or Magic-centric no doubt.

I like the mystic too Dhark so I will wait till you get a character approved before making mine so we do not double up okay?

I'll probably submit an older character to this. I have an idea in mind, especially if we're supposed to be famous or something.

Competition is good for things-- submit your mystic, my CAD looks to be going another avenue (-ish) Calling him STORMCROW for now. Asgardian, Weather Control (ala Storm) and maybe some Foresight if I can fit it in. He's shaping up really nicely, using some cool Black Adam artwork for inspiration. Thinking that Thor asked him to step in if he was ever gone too long.

Cool I was thinking of going appentice to Agatha Harkness. (She trained the Scarlet Witch so why not have a new apprentice work for the Avengers)

On the road back home right now, so I can't write a background or have access to the books to make a CAD, but I'm liking the game concept a lot and already have an idea for a TK oriented character. Will work on it later today.

Managed to get hold of the tablet and a keyboard for a moment and sent Andrew a quick background (probably typo filled, but it was the best I can make now and I wanted to write it to get it out my head). Thought I could share it around so you can see where I'm going with it.
---
Miriam was born without both arms, but always kept a possitive attitude, almost naive. For her, that always have been like that, she didn't look at herself much different. Some kids were taller or shorter, others were good at math, and some could sing like the birds in the sky. She could play soccer like the best and even write and paint with her feet, something others couldn't do, so almost never missed anything other kids could do. That attitude lived on as years passed, when Stark Industries offered her parents the chance to test on a pair of cybernetic arms. Tony Stark himself asked the young Miriam what she wanted to be once she got her new arms working, maybe a pianist or a doctor, but the girl's answer had him laughing for a good while. "I could do everything without them, so with them... I should be a superhero" the eleven year old girl said. Not that she wanted, or could be one. Miriam said that she 'should' be a superhero. Anything else seemed a waste.
...
But she wasn't a kid anymore. As part of the Academy seniors Miriam was already old enough to vote, even if not to drink, but her outlook on life hadn't changed much. Her arms had been improving with the years, courtesy of Stark's desire of sponsoring her wish to be a superhero. Now, under the codename Momentum she can alter the speed of any moving object, making it faster or stopping in its tracks. She still can't affect something that wasn't moving, or alter its trajectory, but that is more than enough for her. Affectionately called "Mom" to shorten her codename and as a friendly joke, she has the habit to care not only for her underclassmen, but also for people older than her if need be.
When tragedy struck the Avengers she was as sad and nervous about the fact as any, but that didn't make her doubt even for a second when she was asked to step forward and teach in the Academy. Just one thing lingered in her mind, making her uncomfortable: Her boyfriend, a year younger than her, was now her student.

Going for a Hawkeye-like character with force blast. We'll see how it works out.

I would be interested. I do have some questions though; are you using the rules straight from the books? which books are allowed? and any house rules? Yes, rules straight from the 3 official books. As far as house rules, the only one that really comes to mind as something I tend to allow is splitting Durability into individual Health/Energy Reserve/Energy Regeneration abilities.
