Huh. Yeah maybe, hadn't considered it. The context just seemed (at least to me) to suggest terminal. Doesn't really matter though, I'm sure we all get the idea either way.

Yea... Wind friction.. That was what I was referring to... *cough*.... No errors here... But no.. Nobody has mentioned that typo. But great timing though since I have been working on finishing v1.4 these last couple of days. So I will correct it. Thanks Odinson

I am getting to the part where I can release the next version of the book when I feel like it.
But some ideas has surfaced during this weekend, and I am wondering if I should just release it as it currently is, or wait til I have worked out the ideas so they can be implemented into the book? This will result in the next version having to be delayed quite a bit due to the design being "messed up" by the new stuff and would have to be reworked.
The ideas involve Healing and Wealth mostly, but there are also some ideas for options for actions.

If I may ask, why is Hex-Sphere scrapped from the book?

You may: My guess is that Hex-Spheres was very powerful in what it did: disruption, and there was no room in 2.0 for it as it was since we were trying to streamline things and balance it all out.
It had some things to balance it, like being random, but even if it was random, it would still disrupt the target. The description also leaves allot up for interpretation and there is no resistance against it at all. Spend 1 red stone (for human sized things) and they would be disabled/affected. Furthermore, it doesn't state how long these effects lasts.
In the example, Scarlet Witch can turn the time back on a gun, turning it into dust in mere moments. So if following the rules, she could also do the same with anything/anyone else. As long as she could match their "size" on the D&R scale for Area.
So it would need a rework before it could be in 2.0. Until then, using a mastery with some options could simulate the effect.

I don't mean to come off rude if I do but I often see that actions like Hex Spheres do get the cold shoulder because people don't understand how to work with them. There is a way to defend against it with Energy Defense, which also happens to be a thing that is often over looked with people I've noticed. Secondly, with how it was written it left a lot up to the GM on how the effect would work because off the bat because it is chaos, no one can control how that goes. So Yes, perhaps Scarlet Witch could unleash a hex sphere and say she wants to cause the guns to rust up, but by the same token, GM could instead cause the barrels to jam, or the clips fall out, or even they become water guns and spray people with chocolate milk. It may not be what she wanted but the effect was achieved of she got the deadly guns out of the assailants' hands. It does say in the lower part, that characters can decrease the chaotic effect and have more control over it by putting more energy and panels into prepping it, meaning yes, she would be able to do more controlled things but it will take her longer to do, like House of M. To me it always seemed balanced because yes it was an odd power but players were never fully in control of it.

It is funny that you mention energy defense, because I was thinking about that very modifier while making dinner. The power specifically says it is an energy attack, so Energy Defense should apply.. And you do not come off as rude. Rude would be calling me stupid and say I am a nitwit for not understanding the mechanics of the Action But I still feel that it is on the powerful side. At least, very wishy washy/wonky with its preparation aspect. It doesn't explain very well how much control you get for those panels and energy stones. If you wanted to turn a car into molten lava, how much "GM" control would there be if you have spend 4 panels and 6 stones to achieve the effect? How long will it last? But it is one of the powers that are in the bottom of the box since it is a power that is very specific for a single character and there where more "important" ones to look at. So I am gonna get to it at some point, but as with the rest of the 2.0 project, people are welcome to pitch in with ideas. Get some talk going. Heck, most of the stuff in the book is from the original 2.0 era. But remember, this is basically a "non-non-official" 2.0, since getting everybody to agree on what would be 2.0 is close to impossible and the reason the project ended. Or I think it was.. It is so long ago

Will you be making a marvel 2.0 cad sheet page or even a thread for us all to try and sort out proper cads or will you just not have the time for such a task?

Well, the original CAD can still be used. But I have made my own which I have been using for a very long time.. Not sure why I never thought about sharing it... Or did? Meeh.. Time www.mediafire.com/file/4iqnaytjnce0ink/MURPGsheet_v2.0.pdfBut its very printer friendly and simple. Not sure if you wanted a fully colored CAD, which would take some time to get ready. But I wouldn't mind looking into it if there is interest for it. or even a thread for us all to try and sort out proper cads or will you just not have the time for such a task? I actually contacted TakewithFood yesterday about making a sub-board for me to help keep things more neat and organized. Updates here, development there, questions over there. I just fear it will lead to a "everybody-wants-their-own-sub-board-for-their-rules" scenario, so not sure if it is a good idea. Or did you mean something else when you say a thread to try and sort CADs?

well i mean a lot of new hero in marvel atm like re re williams, kamala khan, miles morales, and any new players coming into the murpg system will have little help for them, i guessed like a form where people could work out cads for new heroes or fix cad from the book(kinda like the spider-man guide) and if you had time or the urge to you could add them to you 2.0 book
for the everyone getting there own suborder I mean not many people are making big projects atm that I know of and the sideman guide got its own board this is kinda the same thing.

Never really considered adding CaD's to the guide. But you do bring up a good point that many of the new heroes that have popped up since MURPG's creation, could be added to 2.0. I am however not to familiar with many of the new heroes. I have read the comics with Kamala Khan, which I really liked. But that is about it. But nothing a little research can't fix But I will definitely start looking into creating a design to add the CADs into so it will be ready, because it sounds like a great idea. But about the sub-board; I just feel like I am "infringing/stealing" TwF's board. And so fare, he hasn't answered back.

There.. The file for CaD's is ready.. So the next version will probably have some in it if I have the time for it
