I'm surprised nobody posted about this yet. I've been able to read comics lately, and I think the older runs of the suicide squad was better, but I'm enjoying the current run too. This might be a fun movie.
I've heard people complaining about the joker, but I've noticed people like that people with all of tattoo's and are kind of weirdo's are usually joker fans in real life. I think it's interesting to see the joker being Reckoned and being a little be more like it's fan base, maybe that's just me though. This may be an enjoyable movie for me when it comes out.

Movie looks like it'll rock! ... Although Joker looks really, really, dumb...

I dunno, I like the Joker look. He's different, but that's inevitable if they want him to stand out against Nicholson and Ledger.

I still have trouble with Will Smith as Deadshot, especially since I hardly recognize any of these other actors. It's the sort of thing you maybe get used to in the actual film, but in a trailer it's kind of distracting.
Also, opening your trailer with 1 minute of expository dialogue is terrible.
I don't know. Could be a sleeper hit if they manage to get the right tone. But right now it sort of makes me cringe.

Most weird skinny weirdo's with tattoo's that I know have joker tattoo's. That is why I think that allot of the characters in this movie were changed to attract viewers.

Can't remember seeing deadshot with his mask off in comics but you can bet he'll only have his mask on for brief moments of this. The price of hollywood stars. Whether his 'star power' will make the film a must see is another matter. Established stars are seeing their stars wane, somewhat, for a new breed of actors coming through. Tom Cruise, Will Smith, Arnnnnold etc, all have films that've bombed in the last few years. Thing is with Cruise I think he doesn't make garbage films, just films no one goes to see He might have made a decent Batman at one time.

Thought I'd post the much better trailer that was released recently:
Maybe it's just Queen doing all the heavy lifting, but I might give this one a try after all.

So, reviews are in.... and they are not good. Suicide Squad is currently sitting at 36% at RT with over 60 reviews counted. I'm bummed out, I kinda had high hopes for this one. I might see it anyway, I dunno.

From what I heard it is because the tone promised in the trailers lasts only in the first act. And the rest of the movie becomes a predictable action flick. And everything else is just major backlash for how everything didn't really meet the critc's expectations.
Basically it is an okay movie but not worth the hype. But this is what I can tell from the reactions of the critics. Will wait for movie to come out to see if most audience agrees or not.

It feels to me like DC is just rushing everything. They're spitting these movies out like crazy without building either the character and world development, or the production crew necessary to create hits like we have consistently seen from Marvel. There is really no rush; the super hero genre isn't going to burn out for another 3-4 years, I wager, and most fans don't really care which movies are Marvel and which are DC - just as long as they're good.
On a related note, I *finally* got around to watching Dawn of Justice, and it wasn't as awful as I thought it would be. It's just.. very mixed up. The parts of it that were good were great, and the parts that sucked, suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked. Batfleck was great (minus the casual manslaughter), and Wonder Woman was actually pretty fun, but OH LORDY why the hell did they let Jesse Eisenberg shoot more than one scene with that god awful Lex Luthor performance? I don't want to be mean, but that has to be in the running for the worst performance I have ever seen in a big-budget movie. Just absolutely garbage. I get cringe chills thinking about it. Holy balls, man.
Anyway, point is, DC is starting to do a few things right, and if they can figure out what those things are, I think they might manage to squeeze in a two or three good films before people stop showing up to super hero movies.

I went to see it today; it's not quite as bad as the reviews might lead you to believe. Overall it's a mess, but it starts strong, at least. It has a playful tone, and the cast are mostly legitimate antiheroes. However, it loses this edge at a pretty specific point about 3/5ths of the way through the movie, and instantly devolves into a really cheesy action film that feels like a 1980s direct-to-video flop.
I know that sounds harsh, but going in with low expectations I was sufficiently amused (for Sunday matinee prices, anyway). It doesn't try as hard as Dawn of Justice, and so comes across as ultimately a more effective movie.
I actually liked Leto's Joker (on the assumption that he's not the original Joker, as per a popular fan theory), Harley Quinn was pretty okay, Deadshot was basically just Will Smith, but I like Will Smith so that was fine, El Diablo was neat, and Viola Davis did a pretty great Amanda Waller. Most of the rest of the cast was fun, but lacking in character development; maybe the cast was a little too big.
The plot made absolutely no sense and led to a finale that actually made me cringe, but you don't go to see this movie for the plot.
tl;dr 5.5/10 if you go in with low expectations and just want to have a little fun for 82 minutes, don't let the reviews keep you away.
