I would like to start up a game based on the Marvel 2099 Universe concept. Here are my initial thoughts on the setting and character creation.
Setting: The game setting will be based loosely on the 2099 Universe concept. What would the Marvel Universe look like in the year 2099? Player's will take an established Marvel character and reimagine them in the future. Just about anything goes. Maybe the hulk is not a big green monster, but a hulking brute covered in metal. Logan is most likely still alive, but how much has he changed? Basically you can take a look at existing 2099 characters for inspiration.
I plan on keeping most of the 2099 setting while expanding upon it and adjusting it based on submitted CADs. Each character will begin in a self titles solo issue. As the game progresses teams may form and cross over issues are highly likely.
Character creation: CADs should be a reimagined version of an existing Marvel character. I am not going to set a hard stone count as I feel it would hinder the creation of some characters. However, I will be monitoring the stone counts. If you submit a 100 stone CAD for someone like Bartok the Leaper or Frog Man I'm probably going to PM you a message with nothing but LoL spam and a giant NO!
Standard Rules apply as well as most of the rules in House Rules Assemble. I will also be using the house rule for energy and durability. Durability will be normal cost and determine your health. Energy Pool will be normal cost and give you energy Pool x3 energy stones. Regen will be normal cost and allow you to recover that number of energy stones per turn. Obviously some powers may need to be altered as well to work with these changes. I'm sure most of you have already figured out how to make them work, but if you need my help PM me and we can work it out.
The following characters are off limits due to either being integral to the setting or simply too powerful:
Dr. Doom Thanos Galactus * Other's that may pop up that I missed.
Well I think I've covered the basics. If there is enough interest I will ask to have a board set up. For now you can post here to express your interest in who you plan on playing and then PM me a CAD.

I liked the idea of the old 2099 comics so I'm definitely interested! Not sure which character I would want to pick just yet, but I'll send you something once I've narrowed it down.  |

lilithsboy: No, any existing character will work. Obviously a character who would be dead by 2099 wouldn't be the same person beneath the spandex- unless you figure out a way for them to still be alive. A good example is the 2099 Spider-Man. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spider-Man_2099It isn't Peter Parker and has some different powers form the current version. Here is a link to some 2099 information for anyone who might need it. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marvel_2099 I am starting out simple, but if things go well I plan on expanding it and forming a 2099 X-Men, Avengers, F4 etc. Also while I am currently limiting it to existing reimagined characters I may eventually allow original characters.

Haha, I was actually joking about Thor, he's a big guy, and I wouldn't put that on ya. I'll think of something though, probably more low key. (And no that wasn't a Loki pun lol)

Concept ... Born mutant genius (think biocomputer brain ala The Leader) meets hank pym merging ant-man and goliath personas via an exo-suit twist thrown in.
