Hey gang,
The upcoming Jessica Jones show on Netflix finally has an official release date: November 20th, 2015. As with Daredevil, the entire 13-episode season will be released simultaneously.
Here's the video they released yesterday, which might also be a look at the opening credits?
I hope it's as good as Daredevil. I'm cautiously optimistic.

The teaser is reminiscent of the David Mack covers for the Alias comic where she comes from, so even if it isn't as evocative as those it works quite well, specially with the little bit of voiceover here and there. I really love Alias, liked the Daredevil series a lot and would love for this whole "defenders" project on Netflix to work (specially if they go for a Fraction/Brubaker/Aja Iron Fist with the fourth series) so I'm hopeful.

It seems to have the right attitude and with Daredevil's precedent I'm optimistic.

Same!
EDIT: I had been wondering for quite a while whether they would actually give her powers or not, and I'm happy to see that they have.

I feel like I have to watch this show because I care about the continuity they're building (up until they inevitably screw up the one character I'm passionate about from this whole lot, Iron Fist), but its a grudging "being blackmailed into it" sort of a feeling, because I couldn't care less about Jessica Jones outside of being Luke Cage's girlfriend, and because I want Kristen Ritter to stop being a thing.

Hah, I know that feeling. I'm not getting it here - I'm pretty curious about this show - but I feel that way about the Thor movies.

In my case I like the source material, so no problem of that kind. They released another short thing:

They released another short thing: Oh good, Marvel's TV shows needed a female Wolverine 8) ... actually I liked that trailer, I just hope that it only showcases one aspect of the character. If she's a hardass whiskey swilling brawler, I'm going to check out very quickly.

"Bad Reputation" as an anthem for female misfits is getting a little old, but otherwise I liked it, too. Why you gotta tease me, Netflix? It's nowhere near November 20th yet.

"Bad Reputation" as an anthem for female misfits is getting a little old ~TWF I agree... buuuuut, because I like the song on its own merits, I don't mind hearing it. It does seem like the entertainment industry doesn't get real creative when choosing music for "rebel girls." Or guys, probably, for that matter. Personally I prefer "Cherry Bomb", but that also gets used

Always a fan of "Rebel Girl" by Bikini Kill as a good, well, rebel girl song

I was showing the first video (the one that is probably her opening credits) to a friend, who pointed out that you can actually see the Avengers Tower in the background in one of the last shots. Kinda neat, thought I'd share in case anyone else missed it.

We got yet another short clip: And a poster somewhat similar to Michael Gaydos' style of the comic:
