Alright! Got some good concepts in, want to give people who are working on them more time to work on them (and a little buffer time to start X-Men: Legacy of the Atom). I'll accept submissions for this game for another week, until Monday let's say 8:00 PM PST (when I should be getting home from work...)

Has anyone else ever wondered about Lo Pan vs Batman. I don't know where my brain comes up with this stuff. David Lo Pan style

Thanks everyone for your patience! I'm having a hard time making my selections for this one, honestly I'm feeling deadlocked. Still debating a lot of this, will let you know as soon as I make a decision. My apologies for the delay!

So, I've been putting a lot of thought into this. A lot of a lot of thought. Far too much thought.
While I got some good submissions for this game, there was something that wasn't entirely satisfying to me about the submissions I was getting. Almost every one left a funny taste in my mouth for one reason or another. I usually don't get submissions that provoke that sort of emotion out of me, and so frequently, and it made choosing players next to impossible. I can't believe it was a fault of all of yours, after some introspection it was not a fault with myself, the closest I can come to is that I'm very dissatisfied with using MURPG to run this game the way I'd want to.
For right now, I'm going to be putting this on hold while I figure out a better system to realize this. (DCUniverse has been the strongest contender. Maybe a variation on Marvel Heroic?) Until then, though, I offer my sincerest apologies.

Darn! Well, I don't know how close I was to making the cut or not had you decided to run this, but if I'm in the running I'd be willing to try whatever system you decide on. That said I don't have any experience with other systems outside of M&M and Heroes Unlimited.

I'd love to talk at some point about what sort of characters you wanted for the game. I like it when players and GM's can share a vision of how the game is going to go so knowing what left a funny taste in your mouth would be really good. That way I can avoid doing it again, I'd like to think I can take constructive criticism. From my point of view I was expecting something where we'd get up to shinanigins, get to battle the batman, lose (yes, i fought the bat and the bat won), end up in Blackgate or Arkham, escape, rince and repeat. If you'd like to use my submission as an example please do.

I did submit my CAD from the back of the fridge. I mean, it smelled not old... so... yeah, sorry about that. Gatorade and rest for you.
In all the serious, I am with Janus on this one. Would love to dialogue!

Okay, so right now the big three criteria I'm looking at as I'm looking at rules.
1) Allows for more variety of execution in concept at the "peak human"/low-level superhuman level. 2) Something that encourages things like lairs, deathtraps, henchmen, etc., but also encourages minimal number-crunching. 3) Encourages (or at least doesn't discourage) plausible solo and group heists/capers/Batman-revenge-schemes.
My current leanings are towards a Cortex+ hack, which essentially involves me mashing together chunks of Smallville and Marvel Heroic into something workable.
