So this idea might be pointless, especially given the number of X-Men games floating around, but I had an idea; what if the X-Men could be part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? How would that world react to the sudden emergence of new, genetic super humans? I think that could be a fun game concept, but maybe I'm wrong. Are you interested?
I'm thinking that this game would be "current" with the MCU up to and including Avengers: Age of Ultron and the Agents of SHIELD Season 2 finale.
One key concept of this game is that Mutants are new, just now emerging. There would be some older mutants who have been in hiding (Xavier and Magneto, specifically), but they are almost completely unknown, even to agencies like SHIELD. Professor Charles Xavier, noticing the reaction to recent events such as the emergence of the "alien threat" (the Inhumans), has decided to gather young mutants in his home and protect them from public scrutiny, and to that end is opening the Xavier Institute for Gifted Youth, along with his longtime friend and intellectual rival, Eric Lensherr.
Characters would be MCU-ized versions of existing Marvel mutants, preferably (though I might make room for originals). The stone count would be 20 +10. IN ADDITION TO the 10 maximum challenges, every character would have the 5 stone "Mutant" Challenge (5 rather than 3, because in this setting, being a Mutant could be very, very dangerous). Remember that your characters should be teenagers whose powers have only very recently emerged, so plan for room to grow.
Additional new challenge; "Public Emergence" You powers manifested in a very public place, and there is footage of it (on the internet, maybe it even made the evening news), and your identity is publicly known. You can take steps to disguise yourself, of course, unless your mutant appearance makes that impossible. This challenge is worth 2 stones if your emergence was public but not criminal, and 4 stones if your emergence resulted in death or massive property destruction (effectively making you wanted by authorities, if only for questioning).
Interest? Ideas?
