Looks like I've got some measure of interest. If you'd like, feel free to send pitches my way. So far I have an interesting Booster Gold pitch which I'm imagining fits the following theme: "You know what else is faster than a speeding bullet? Booster Gold, that's who! You wanna replace Superman? I've got some shock and awe for you, right here. Bad guys won't even know what hit 'em!"*

Along the lines of The Reign of the Supermen not happening (yet), I could see a sort of patriotic idealist like Henshaw was pretending to be, someone just trying to do the right thing like Steel, and an heir of Krypton like the Eradicator also in the mix. That would make an interesting team of four. Of course, we need not confine ourselves solely to those tropes. This is just as much as how the rest of the DCU copes with the loss of Superman, not just Metropolis and the Superman mythos. How does Gotham fare, when the whole world knows heroes are just as mortal as the next guy? Does the GCPD try to coax Batman into retirement for fear of another dead hero?
Do the Guardians of the Universe find themselves in a lot more trouble and with need for more Green Lanterns? ETC
