It's still a teaser, so there is space for lots of action and great evil, but I like the light tone and as you said, not making all MCU movies so visually homogeneous. I mean, I know that they downplay the colors to make the heroes feel more rooted in reality (still better than those JLA uniforms, hell no) but it's tiresome being the same color grading applied to Captain America: Winter Solider and... dunno, Ant-Man or Thor.

Yet another trailer from Comic Con:
I'm not actually watching this trailer, as I've already decided to watch the hell out of this movie, and they just spoil all the good parts these days.

This movie looks huge. I hope it doesn't crash and burn because it seems really really promising.

I do have one question though.. how is thor's hammer destroyable and do you think it will be re forged?

I'm not quite sure how Mjolnir was destroyed so easily, but I predicted long ago that the soul stone is hidden inside, and that the hammer would have to be destroyed at some point. It's the only stone that remains at large, and its powers are in keeping with the way it judges a person's worthiness.
Also have a hunch that Thor will be left without it at least during the first Infinity Wars movie, but that it will make some kind of triumphant return in time for the second film.

I went to watch Guardians of the Galaxy 3 Thor: Ragnarok last night and it almost out-guardians it. The visuals are amazing, the characters are funny as hell (although they may feel out of character since the depiction is quite out there) and the movie is an amazing fast paced piece of madness, jokes and action. Very good work, although it goes overboard with the jokes a couple of times.

Glad you enjoyed it! I've been avoiding trailers since I decided I was definitely going to see it way back at the start of the summer. Interesting to hear they added a lot of humour, as expected after those little Thor sketches they put out (and the positive reaction they got from fans). Can't wait to see it.

Very good work, although it goes overboard with the jokes a couple of times. Saw it today, and this is basically my whole review, too. I definitely enjoyed it, and strongly agree that, while funny, it would actually have been funnier if they pared back the number of jokes. They come at you so quickly and constantly, it reminds me a little of eating too much of the same food.. at some point you can't even taste it any more. Still, a good film. Cate Blanchett is marvelous. She owns every scene she's in and just oozes personality. Jeff Goldblum is Jeff Goldblum, and somehow that still works. I get the impression that Valkyrie's scenes were significantly cut back, as were a lot of the Banner scenes. There might have been a whole subplot that got the axe, even. Oh, and for those interested, there are two stinger scenes: one early/mid-credits, and one at the very end. Neither are that important, but you paid for them, might as well stay. (As usual, like 2/3rds of the audience walked out before the first one, and then half the rest walked out before the last one. How the hell have people not learned!?!?!?)

Well, I was a bit disapointed, especialy with Loki. Didn't get to shine at all as a "brilliant trickster god". Not that he was one is most of the marvel verse.. but ocasionaly he did. His "best scene" was when he was enjoying thor getting beaten, which wasn't realy any acomplishment on His side, and the best chance to shine was given to thor instead who came up with a smart "lokiesque" idea for what Loki could do to help... Sure, the movie was "thor" and not "Loki: the Redemption" and it DID give Thor a little hint of Odin like wisdom, which was neat.. But at the expense of Loki... . Well.. 't was watchable. but as twf said, bit much of the same taste for it to realy flourish fully.
