"I'll look up some nice ring designs once we made it back home, and create it then. In the meantime... I wanna see what other interesting things I could find here", the bluenette said with curiosity, wondering if there were powerful magical Grimoires like she had back home, or magical swords which she could use instead of her normal rapier and Main Gauche she was currently using.... or anything else than seemed interesting. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7 stones into Intelligence +3 from Acute Senses to look around for interesting swords, possible Grimoires and/or whatever else that might catch her eyes.

You find an interesting sword... well sword would be putting it nicely more of an oversized sewing needle with a hilt, and thread.
You also find a very old book behind a glass case with special sealing wards all over.

"May I ask what those are?" Mai asked the man.

"That sword is Nubari, and the Book is the Darkhold."

Mai Natsume
"The Darkhold..." she repeated, curious. "Sounds like a Grimoire to me... interesting. Are they both for sale? What do they do?"

"Nubari is a sword that when thrown can pierce multiple targets and stitch them together even changing course mid-flight to do so. As for the Darkhold... It is a horrible Mystic Tome of a powerful demonic being named Chthon." He explained. "Both are for sale, though I advise you only buy the Darkhold if you truly are prepared to face the consequences of owning such an artifact."

Mai Natsume
"Hmmm... intriguing. What sort of consequences?" she asked, manifesting her wings in her back. "...Also, I'm a devil. Does it lessen the risks of, say, reading it?"

"Depends on the person, and yeah I guess it does."

Mai Natsume
"I'll admit, I am curious... and if it's dangerous, I'd rather be the one holdng onto it rather than risk having it fall into the wrong hands, especially if I have fewer risks as a devil", she admitted. "I'll take them both, please. Do you have any other interesting sword I could easily dual wield with this one, before I go?"

"A second blade... Hmmm let me see." He says ushering through his stock before pulling out what looks like a chainsaw on a hilt. "How about this Wounding Ripper?"
(+3 2x Damage, Targets lose an additional 1w per panel for a number of panels equal to White Stones of damage/2 rounded up. (Unless you have a better way of implementing the Wounding Effect of course.))

(OOC: Dammit, I thought I had posted this in the PM section. I'm tired, lol.)
Mai Natsume
"Hmm... I'm not sure... it looks pretty... badass, I'd say? But I have to see if I can dual wield it properly with the other one. Can I hold them to see how easy it is for me to move with them in hand?"

"Sure thing." He says handing both blades to you.

"Thanks", she said, smiling, as she began carefully and expertly weighing the swords up, checking the balance, to see if they would suit her fighting style and if she could dual wield them efficiently. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 7 into Intelligence, to test the weapons' weight, their balance, see if they feel comfortable in my hands, to determine if I would be able to fight well with both at once.

It's a bit awkward... Nubari is clearly designed to stab above all else, and The Ripper is larger and heavier than the Mein Guiche... However with proper adjustments and experience they would make half decent supplemental weapons to your fighting style.
(OOC: Assuming you don't have anything better... Nubari: +4 to close/ranged combat Limited AP, can hit multiple targets and stitch them together can return when thrown via manipulation of thread on the eye of the hilt.)

(OOC: Honestly, I wasn't sure how to do it, so I'll take it, lol. ^_^)
Mai Natsume
"Hmm... it'll take a while getting used to it, but I'll take them. Thanks for the help!" she said gratefully.
