You are hanging out at the Blue Palace relaxing from a hard day's work running the Province of Skyrim.

The white-haired 'elf' was laying on her bed in her room, reading an amusing book about various tricks Sheogorath used against some of his foes in various myths, stories, and urban legends. One could say many things about the Mad Prince, but if there was one thing that he had when it came to messing around his fellow Daedra - or anyone really -, it was style. She giggled at a particularly amusing passage.

Just then one of your children comes in. "Mother, there is someone in the main hall to see you. He says it's an emergency."

The vampiress mother got up, putting the book aside.
"Thank you Louis... I'll go meet with them at once", she said gently, before heading to the Main hall to meet with said 'someone'.

You head to the throne room to find a merchant. "High Queen Alice, I must report a troubling activity is taking place in a cave hidden by the banks of the river." He said pointing to a location on the map. "A group of strange mages are performing a ritual, of what I do not know, but they attack any who may come near. You must send someone to investigate."
(OOC: Started Quest "The Secret Treasure of the River")

"Hmm... interesting. I have some free time and could use the exercice. I believe I will look into the matter myself. Trouble yourself with this no longer, friend. I will make sure the matter is resolved", she promised. "Falk", she said, addressing Falk Firebeard, steward of the Palace. "...Mind if I leave the rest to you for tonight and possibly tomorrow morning?"

"Thank you. Please inform my friend Lydia that I will be gone for a while and to take care of Louis and Lucy for me. They've already had their 'meals' for tonight", she said with a nod, putting on a brown traveling cloak that she pulled seemingly out of thin air. Turning back to the merchant, she said: "...That will be all. I'm leaving for the cave immediately. If there is anything else, please deal with my steward. At any rate, have a fine evening."
She headed out, after hugging her children if they were in sight. Leaving Solitude behind, she pulled out the Ocarina of Time, and began playing a now familiar song... Epona's. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1 into Speed to leave the city;
then 6 stones into Perform (Ocarina, Epona's Song) to summon the spirit of the trusty steed.

"Hey, dear friend", Link said, gently petting the ghostly mare. "We seem to have a mini-adventure on our hands. Wanna stretch your legs a bit?" she said, getting on her back. "Our target is a cave by the river banks. Shall we?", she said, stroking her mane.
She was already quite familiar with the mare, and had ridden her back ever since a few months after she began her adventuring career, years ago. Even though many people still felt uneasy around the ghost horse, she wasn't unknown as she had traveled all across Skyrim and beyond with her, and many were the tales of the High Queen on her ghostly steed. Most people had learned not to fear her too much, although many still kept their distance. Link herself, however, genuinely loved the horse, and considered her as a close friend. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 into Agility to get on her back;
3 into Horsemanship to ride her towards the location of the cave.

"Thanks, Epona", Link said, getting off and planting a gentle kiss on the horse nose as the ghost slowly dissolved into thin air, its summoning over. "I'll see you soon for a longer ride", she promised, pulling out her shield and the Master Sword, as she carefully made her way into the cave. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2 into Agility to get off Epona;
9 into Thieving (Search area, Spot traps) plus 5 from Animal Senses, to spot trouble before it spots her as she makes her way into the cave.

You easily behead the two mages, and move on... Into a living quarters where an additional four are sitting.
