I have started watching some of the new DBS stuff lately, and was wondering if anyone was interested in playing a DBZ/S game. It'd be all new/created/original characters (for the most part), unless you can come up with an established character for but for a different (my) universe.

Might I propose a rule...
Either everyone has to be a Saiyan
or nobody can be a Saiyan.
(Seriously there is no incentive to play any other race in the universe with how OP they are.)

My rules for DBZ compensate for that... As I've done in Hoots Rowlet's Omniversal Adventures setting, you can change the name of Super Saiyajin to any other race and it'll work the same... It would just be an unheard of powerup for them.... BUT... count me in! Also... Changelings (Frieza's race) have Stage X Transformation already....

I'm going to have to politely decline. My opinion on Dragon Ball is kind of in the crapper... Almost course you set this in The Abridged Series

So... I don't quite understand the rules here.... Maybe some explanations would help? Do you get extra stones for your Power Level when you get to the required place (Like 101-200... Would I get 50 extra stones?)

Sounds fun. What's the background story/lore to your universe I'm working on it. Probably something close to "Universe 7" (the standard DBZ universe people know and love) but maybe (some) Saiyans and Namekians live on earth with the Earthlings. I was thinking of something along the lines of when the Sith in Star Wars first came to Korriban and overcame the natives (the Sith) and subjugated the species. I'm thinking that maybe a small group of Saiyans were kicked off of their homeworld and sent to Earth and subjugated the Namekians and Humans on earth and ruled over them for some time. Eventually the dragonballs were used to help cleans them of their nature or to take back power and put it back into the hands of corporations (mainly CC). That sound somewhat ok? I can come up with something else if you want... So... I don't quite understand the rules here.... Maybe some explanations would help? Do you get extra stones for your Power Level when you get to the required place (Like 101-200... Would I get 50 extra stones?) Ok. I figured the best way to do PL to somewhat stay true to what we see in the manga/show (though Akira strays from it after the Frieza Saga) is to do it in increments similar to that of a tier system. in the "POWER LEVEL TIER 1" where you would start out, it looks like so: Say you want to make a Namekian character. The rules for that race on p.9 states "Namekian: Namekian characters start out with a Power Level of 160 and gain no additional Stones to spend, however they may permanently Fuse with other Namekians, and remain the character in control." (Emphasis mine) - So according to the PL tier system, a power level of 160 would fall on the second row of the tier I posted. - Now each row on the tier has an increment of five in order to reach the end of the row. The increments are listed at the end of each row. - So if you have a PL of 160 you are on the second row, at 3/5 of the way through it (a pl of 20 in that row is 1/5 of the ending pl). - Meaning that you would gain an amount of Stones equal to all of the rows below combined, plus the number of increments you have passed on your current row. - So if you have a PL of 160, you have a total of 5x10 Stones (for row 1) and 3x10 Stones (for being 3/5 of the way through the second row) for a total of 80 Stones to build your starting character. ... It sounds a little complicated, but it's really not at the end of the day. Basically for every full row you complete on a tier, you gain 50 Stones to build your character. Then for every increment you fall in on a row, you gain 10 Stones to add to your character.

btw. After looking it over and rereading what I did; for this game, I'm definitely going to be changing some things in that booklet (and maybe updating it). Several techniques (Kaio-Ken's effects as well as it's cost, along with several others'). Some of the combat rules. And the dragonball rules (as I want them to more reflect Earth's original dragoinballs' power).
For example: KAIO-KEN - Kaio-Ken = pl increase of 0.5 of your current power level - Kaio-Ken x2 = pl increase of x2 of your current power level - Kaio-Ken x3 = pl increase of x3 of your current power level ect.
