We have a trailer that goes beyond the teaser and it looks nice. Groot merch it's going to sell itself.

I know Groot and Rocket are the fan favourites, but all my love goes to Dave Bautista's Drax.

Watched it this Saturday and even if it's quite light on the plot since the movie focus on the characters quite hard, it works quite well and it's pretty funny. Also 5 (yes FIVE) after credits scenes.

Ego: "After all these years I found you. My name is Ego, and I'm your dad, Peter. I wanted to experience what it was to be human. So I created what I thought a biological being would be like." Drax: "Did you make a penis?" Star-Lord: "Shut up!" Ego: "Yes, Drax, I got a penis. It's not half bad, either."

I laughed, quite a bit... but definitely felt it lacked the spark of the original as often happens with trilogies.

Finally got a chance to see this today. I enjoyed it, it was okay. I feel like it had a little too many moving pieces as far as storylines go. Every named character basically had their own storyline, and some of them had 2 or 3. That's a lot to tie together. The tone varied a lot, too, from penis jokes to serious drama to dozens of violent deaths and then back to more penis jokes, but they pulled it off better than most. I feel like if they could have tightened it up a little it would have been perfect, but I don't know what I would cut.
Probably won't see it again, but it had some moments I really enjoyed. I'd rate it slightly behind the first, and probably among the top third or even quarter of the Marvel movies to date.

I was excited to see it and learn about Mantis. I like seeing different heroines on the big screen but I was excited to see how they would play with an empath. Everyone and their mother knows what a telepath is and what they do, but an empath, it was interesting to see.

Rocket: "Later on tonight, you're gonna be laying down, there's gonna be something squishy in your pillowcase. And you're gonna be like, 'what's that?', and it's gonna be because I put a turd in there!" Star-Lord: "You put your turd in my bed and I shave you!" Rocket: "Oh, it won't be my turd, it'll be Drax's!" Drax: "HA HA HA HA!!!! I have famously huge turds!"

Meh.
Even though I loved the sovereign, it probably means that Adam Warlock won't appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. (Ayesha is the female counterpart to Adam Warlock and we've already got a synthetic humanoid with an infinity stone on his forehead.) I don't know what's worse, Ego as Peter Quill's father or Ego as a celestial. (And if Ego is a celestial, then what's Knowhere supposed to be?)
The whole movie felt like a filler episode. I didn't care much for it.

It did have a filler episode feel to it, I agree. Ant-Man had a similar feel, perhaps because neither movie was tied directly to an infinity stone, or any of the other MCU stuff. I'd expect that to be a good thing, but it did leave the film feeling a little stranded without purpose.
